Gracious God, I love this hymn, and I am specially attracted at the way hymns are sung in Daniel Baptist. More Grace.

I love congregational singing way more than listening to a single person, and this is one of the best hymns and a very good rendition so thanks for posting

How appropriate is the last portion of the 4th verse of this great hymn in these very days "who lovingly guarded my footsteps and gives me a song in the night!"

I always loved the Baptist Congregation when they sang Hymns they The Lord know

The verse "I think of my Blessed Redeemer, I think of Him all the day long; I sing for I cannot be silent, His love is the theme of my song", is an excellent stanza of the hymn. Though she was blind, Fanny Crosby knew what she was doing when she wrote those lyrics (and some 8,000 others).

​@@FollowerofJesusChristmySaviorThe Methodist church was much different back then than it is today. Every denomination used to be Kjv only until many new versions began to come out. The NIV for example did not even come out until 1979 if I'm not mistaken. Many denominations including some Baptists have changed their doctrine from what it was 100 years ago. I've seen clips of Presbyterian churches from the 1980s and they worshipped like old time Baptists even then.

What hymnal do you use? I really want to order one

I started going to the Baptist around the corner from where I Live . I was attending a Catholic Church . But Mind you I don't Criticize any ones Religion Its One of those things . I don't worship the Virgin Mary the Pope or Bishop . I worship God .

The song leader leads all the hymns too fast - no breaths

You say negative things on here a lot. Frankly, he sings at the same speed I have sung these songs for 56 years. It seems right to me.
