Who is with meaning 2023 listening to the song REDEEMED..... I LOVE YOU GUY PENROD ❤️

The first time I heard this song I was a kid, between 9-11yrs in Nigeria (somewhere around 1993). It was done by a lady in a DeeperLife retreat who came out to sing a 'special number'. I never saw this lady's face, all I heard was her voice over the speakers. The song was etched in my mind immediately! Years down the line in my early 40s I hear this song again and I'm broken in tears when I picture all the Redeemed of God in white robes singing this song with palm fronds in their hands in God's presence in honour of the Lamb who sacrificed himself for our eternal cleansing.😭 Oh God, I wanna see you face to face, I'm gonna see you face to face, eternally delivered from the corruption of this world, I'm gonna be just like you when I see you, I know that Lord - eternally free to worship you. I'm coming home someday, keep me rapturable Lord.

I had the Gaithers sing while still in high school, it still feels the same Holy Spirit touch as then. 2024 I AM REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB

I'm a 61year old man. I grew up listening to this song and many many more of the precious hymns. So so sad our churches have gotten away from them. 😢😢😢

What wonderful memories of growing up in a Methodist (back when they believed Christ was King) minister's home and singing these hymns.

Every one of these people seemed to be blessed with a beautiful voice. What a wonderful gift God has giving them. My daughter ran away from home at 14 years old. She came back to me at age 21 and now lives with me. God also gave her the gift of a beautiful voice that I heard when she came home. It put tears in my eyes. If I would have had the money, I would have send her to a school where she could learn to develop her voice to even higher level. I never heard her sing a christian song, but there is time where she might come around. I pray that she will. Her voice is very unique and strong.

So frustrated that I can't give this song a new thumbs up every time I listen to it... 💞

Although I am not Christian, I like how you worded that. I am grateful for every day. My spirituality is not based on spirit but by beliefs. I feel redeemed when I connect with creation. The natural world reminds me that I gave much to live gratefully.

Now, who doesn't love the old hymns? I miss not singing them in church anymore.

Bill's insistence on recording the hymns & gospel songs of "old" (not THAT old, but old for today's churches) brought me back to the Lord. As Bill says, "... we sing the great old hymns not because they're old, but because they're great, & because their theology is rock solid."
