Their Japanese tracks are so underrated especially Sappy

Another of people don't realize this... but #CookieJar is a statement about social media. And I absolutely love SAPPY. One of their best songs. Only Red Velvet would think about mixing a big-band horn section with an industrial dance-beat. And only Joy can look that fierce pushing a shopping cart.

sappy is definitely my favorite japanese title track. it’s sooo unique and the vocals are just a flex

Bloom was supposed to be released February 2, but there are productions issues with the physical albums and so the whole release is postponed. We sadly haven't got a new release date yet. Their japanese releases are so much fun! Sappy is my favorite, the instrumental is amazingly all-over-the-place and Team Rocket (Wendy, Seulgi & Joy) just goes off vocally xD the Sappy B-side Sayonara is also one of my favorites of theirs, it's just so pretty and especially Joy shines with her honey vocals! Even if I can't get into the japanese versions of their korean title tracks, the japanese tracks are amazing and make these two mini albums so much fun. If you're gonna do album listenings for Red Velvet, I'd definitely recommend that you listen to them as well. I'm super excited to hear what their newest release is gonna sound like! sappy is one of my fav rv titles, it's so good!! also joy highkey owned that mv :)

Japanese discographies are always a bit overlooked, I love both of these, Cookie Jar has such a funky base and sappy has a wild instrumental. Plus both mvs are so packed with interesting visual details

Swimming pool in sappy album is my favourite red velvet song period... And I am a huuuge reveluv 😂❤️.. That song never fails to make me happy..

The red side MVs always have some creepy undertones, there are theories in Cookie Jar about them being witches, so they attract the red velvet with ponytails with candies and stuff so they can make more sweet stuff with them, it's crazy but these type of theories make it interesting to me 😅

Their japanese songs are gold

One of the main reason why Im crazy to them is that even their bubble gum, girly type of song doesn't have that vocal quality that you can hear from most of the girl groups today.

Cookie Jar is like Rookie for me where the bass player is just going off and I'm like oh, ok, there IS something here for me hahaha :D I haven't seen for sure what others think but I agree in a way, I think #Cookie Jar is like let's try to find love together, we know that this initial excitement will burst (the sugar rush will wear off) but let's go for it anyway kind of a thing. Sappy is... kinda hard for me to listen to? I feel like I think too much about the elements. But I love elements of it but when the horns come in I start thinking too hard (probably because I play trombone and I'm just overthinking it hahaha). But when I force myself to stop thinking and just groove, I get into it. The prechorus is so gorgeous and the VOCALS. I always get started thinking about whether it's a sample and whether the folks that played it meant for the emphasis to be on the beat where the emphasis is placed, it feels like it was mixed there rather than intentionally performed to lay the way it does? If that makes any sense? That off kilter feeling never goes away for me really, but it does make the song very interesting, which is why I keep listening to Red Velvet

Yes, it's true, they uploaded to the official Japanese website and the official Line that the Japanese comeback is postponed but they haven't said any date yet :(

#Cookie Jar & Sappy are 2 of the best ever written Japanese/Kpop tracks! No other girl group comes close other than TWICE's own Japan releases, IMHO.

This always happens to me but when I listen to their tracks may it be a title track or b-side, I may not completely like it at first but on the 2nd listen, it will wreck my favelist. Lol! (Psycho and Bad Boy are the exceptions tho)

Cookie Jar should just be called "Red Velvet Tripping Balls for Three and a Half Minutes Straight (Rookie Pt. 2)". Personally, I actually like Sappy more than Cookie Jar. At first, I didn't even like Sappy. Eventually grew on me though. The music production still confuses the hell out of me but the visuals and vocals. I don't usually recommend searching Urban Dictionary, but if you search for the meaning of "cookie jar" you might have a better idea of what that song is about. It's not about dessert.
