I love this narration. Great narration by Ray Porter. His impersonations are done so well. This is my first time ‘listening’ to a book in a looong time but I’m excited of course for this new book, as I’ve always been for the others. Im just starting In The Blood so that book should keep my anticipation for Red Sky suppressed for a bit. Jack Carr, you’ve opened my eyes again to good books and good reading. Because of your outstanding books, I’ve read more and grew my small library of books from other great authors of different focuses. Thanks man! Cmon Jack , just release the whole book early :). 2023 was rough for a lot of us. My family especially, however we count our blessings and appreciate every single one of them . However, we always welcome one more of it’s available…. So how about an early release for America! 😊 On another note: Thank you for the entertaining writing over the past few years , can’t say I’m thrilled with the Amazon series but that’s because I was expecting the book’s storyline ( my fault on building that expectation and not listening to your interview where you clearly tell everyone that ) and a cast that matched the phenomenal narrator we all admire in your books . Katie’s character in Terminal List (film) was badly miscast. Gotta do something to set the record straight (continuity) from the text. Please no inclusion B.S. from the woke Hollywood set. Let the characters and story from the text prevail. Screenwriters can f@#kup a great plot and tale. Thanks for the introduction to Red Sky Mourning. The waiting is tough.

Idk. Jack seemed to approve of the casting, I really don’t think it was a woke casting decision just that Constance Wu was the best from the pool of actors that auditioned and he really saw her in the role (listen to episode breakdowns with Jared and David). They started production before Covid hit right when he was finishing savage son so I honestly don’t think he knew the implications of the casting. Her family’s backstory can be reworked to make her Vietnamese, Cambodian, Lao, or even Chinese, especially since Tom was a Vietnam vet which could have bumped up her parents rescue by a few years from the 80s to the 70s so it can be complicated on how they rework it in time for season 3. I’m more concerned about true believer (season 2)can even be made as impactful as the book due to the current conflict in Ukraine.
These Montana scenes always unlock something in me. Thank you Mr Carr.

This. The Hastings family chapters are always incredible. The Montana and Africa chapters are some of the best scenes in the whole series
I notice every year when these previews drop , I re listen to all the books … Then once the book drops a read the previous book and then read the new one. My wife and kids give me the two days since I’m 24/7 nonstop for most of the year … part of having a business and 5 daughters in homeschool. It’s a small personal vacation that I enjoy every year . Happy new years!

While we wait for James Reese full release. Might I suggest Tier One by Andrews & Wilson. Just like the James Reese series the Jack Kemper / John Dempsey series is excellent. Also, by the same Author team Sons of Valor I-III.

I disagree on the noise level in Lake Buccaneers (And EP-240’s.). I grew up in the Right Seat, and we never used headsets. Then one day when the Lake was in the shop my dad rented a Cessna 172. That was LOUD! The Lakes are quieter because both the engine and the prop are above and behind you
