"Red Nightmare" (1962) - Jack Webb REEL History - Communists Take Over America!

Ойын-сауық

The best-known title of the 1962 Armed Forces Information Film made for the Department of Defense - produced to mold public opinion against communism.
Sometimes titled "Freedom and You", it was first broadcast on the CBS television network in 1962, and its cast includes Jack Kelly as Jerry Donavan, Jeanne Cooper as Helen Donavan and Jack Webb as the narrator. "Red Nightmare" is a blunt and confronting example of Cold War propaganda, a frightening depiction of the United States under Soviet occupation and supposedly based on the experiences of refugees from the Soviet bloc in eastern Europe. It warned Americans not to take their rights and freedoms for granted or ignore their duties as citizens, for the alternative might be much worse.
"REEL HISTORY" - is a new series featured only on this channel to bring back to life (and hopefully to a new audience), original military history films produced during the 20th century... covering topics from all conflicts and branches of the U.S. Military.
"REEL HISTORY" will cover battles... military personalities... stories of survival and heroism... and broader stories of campaigns and conflicts produced by or for the U.S. Military. All Original footage. The Real History...

I remember watching something like this on GE TRUE, and reading elsewhere that such a place existed in the old Soviet Union, divided into American, British and South African sections.

This is a lesson that must be shared. This was what America was supposed to be but never was. It should be called the American dream.

Instead of using Propaganda to fight against other Propaganda, they should've gone "Meta" by being above it all, and warn against Propaganda -- Lol... The premise is relatively truthful, but the tone was somewhat pedantic.

With all the contemporary rhetoric of "communism" and "marxists," this is a very timely upload. Glory to Ukraine!

    (1) Many got imported later. (2) They were not programatically shoved in front of every camera. What you see is what it used to be, not the current manufactured constant crisis designed to destroy this country.
