Hey man I’m curious what mount you used to attach the rod that supports your monitor to the rails. I have been trying to find the right piece to do this and I’m failing hard. Thanks and appreciate the video bro!

I honestly love everything about this video, the cinematic footage, you talking over the calm music and just casually walking around the city, the editing is really great All of your videos are so different from other youTubers in my opinion, you're definitely my favourite KZreadr

I've got the Tokina 50-135 and absolutely love it, but have definitely struggled using it handheld or even on a shoulder rig. I do find that when I use it with the Komodo, if I zoom in to 135mm and lock in focus, it ends up staying fairly in focus when zooming back out to 50mm, but not necessarily the other way around. I've also debated about picking up the 25-75mm but it is a bit out of my price range. I'm actually saving up for the Canon RF 28-70 F2. I absolutely love that lens, it covers a similar focal range, has a wider aperture, and the autofocus works pretty darn well when paired with the Komodo. If you check out my Chicago tribute video on my page, I shot the whole piece with that lens. Cheers Joey!

are tokina lenses best for cinematic? and what does they cost?

Thanks for making this! At 13:41-13:42 the lens t stops seem to change with the zoom. Was that happening throughout the day while zooming or just at that point.

If you put the nano and the motor on the same side or they are too close they don’t communicate well. Switch the side and it should solve your problem

Great video! But I have to disagree, the Komodo's fan blowing in your face is a nightmare! I've filmed multiple live event with the Komodo on a shoulder rig and I've always ended up sweating and too damn hot (one time I found it difficult to get the shot)🤣

Your Nano focus wheel might be too close to the motor. The receiver automatically shuts down to protect itself against overcurrent if the transmitter is too close.

Interesting bug. Though I figured out that the base plate was a bit loose und the camera moved too much reducing the touch point of the gears.

@@Joey_Helms Oh. I had this happen as well, but it was with rubber focus gears, so a very small movement turned into a big problem. Didn't think it would happen with a proper cine lens as well. Good to know 😅

i don't understand this. the nucleus nano is wireless right? why would the receiver being too close cause overcurrent? doesn't make any sense

  • @floriankochvisuals7413

@@fd3871 Think of it like transmitter and receiver are talking to each other. The transmitter is made to "talk" to a receiver up to 300 feet away, so it is "shouting" pretty loud. If you operate it just a few centimeters from the receiver, this is the equivalent of shouting directly into ones ear. Only difference: the transmitter is using electromagnetic waves to "shout".

  • @fd3871

@@floriankochvisuals7413 that's not how any of that works lol. That's not what overcurrent is or what would cause it, and having the transmitter and receiver close isn't a bad thing nor do I see how it would be. Case in point: drones, Bluetooth devices, radio controlled things, WiFi/computers .etc.
