I Think Maddox is built for safety too…. He’s a dawg and I think Maddox would put more years in his career if he switch to safety

With Fletch retiring the defensive line is the one position I'm a little nervous with I think Carter is going to be a stud but the rest of them i honestly don't know were all hopeful and we all see the potential i think we should add a guy just in case I'm including the defensive ends in this as well .. I think well be fine but id like to add someone just in case same thing with safety I agree Fly 🦅 Eagles Fly 🦅

When Davis went into the season last year, he was lean and dominant. Who knows what the Hell happened but he went from lean, dominant, and noticeable to overweight and missing. Another similar showing from him, especially for the same reasons would be a nightmare.

Would like some rotation to keep davis/carter fresh.

I’ll leave this here… . Gabe Hall 6’6 Ft - 291 lbs . Jordan Davis 6’6 Ft - 335 lbs Guys if Jordan fails us, I think Gabe Hall is his backup plan. Gabe Hall has the potential to be way better than Davis. Look at that kids highlights. He’s full of fuel and ready to dominate. 🦅

What is gonna help a lot for the DL in general is if the CBs play better. Will lead to QBs holding the ball a bit more, giving more time to the DTs. Davis actually played quite well, just gotta keep it consistent

Guys, remember last off season, Davis was leaner and dominant and then turned overweight and went ghost. now it’s the same thing this off season. It would be ashamed if he doesn’t show actual progress and ensure a legit role to stick too this season. If he flunks us, I’d say let Gabe Hall take his position on the line. Man is a stud with actual fuel, he also like the same height as Jordan Davis.

Davis is what he is, a two down run stopper at NT. Can't beat double teams and gets no pressure.

I think that even if Sydney misses all Offseason, he will still play this season

JD will be fine, he’s developing nicely into an NFL pro. Reminds me of JB on how he developed, I remember when Buddy benched JB. You do realize that certain positions take time to develop, what you can teach is talent and these guys have loads of talent, now it’s up to the coaches and training staff to develop them. JD has been huge for the Eagles run defense since he was a rookie (which is amazing in itself) that when he got hurt they needed to sign 2 guys to take his place. Also you honestly can’t judge any of these guys the last 8 games of the year, Patricia is the worst coach in football period the guy is a con artist. You should honestly do some research on how MP changed the D-line scheme half way through the season. Did you play or coach any sport? You do realize you’re talking about safety depth. Eagles have allot of young and talented players that are entering year 2&3 and now with the coaching fixed, you will see players start to develop as they learn their rolls. Last year players were moved out of their rolls and this caused confusion which lead to everyone being slow to react. I’ve seen this happen a ton, hence why players kept mentioning communication. The Eagles made the worst mistake by hiring MP as their overseer at defense (MP is clueless how to communicate or scheme). You can ask those Lion players about MP, I remember Slay had some choice words for him, you also hired a new young DC that was a Beta who was getting drowned out by the clueless Alpha, which lead to a mess. Think about this, when the Eagles ran a cloud cover base something players know since highschool during the second half, they shutout teams or held them to few points. You know VF is going to be great cause he coaches the right way, you flood the players brain with new scheme and you start pulling back, which makes it easier when you practice during the week for an upcoming opponent, you want to keep things the same but add a few wrinkles off those same looks and you keep adding more as you play more teams, you never want to show too much on film, you want to win showing the bare minimum, hence you have coaches getting cute in games.

Hands down the longest comment I think I have ever seen on a video. But everyone is concerned about safety depth because of 1 of the starters go down then we have a rookie trying to hold down that position which will screw us in the end. I don't think we need Simmons if we do get someone it'll be a older vet that can come in and start in the case of an injury. If we wait til someone gets Injured to fill that role maybe Simmons will be available because he wants a starting spot but it's valid to be worried about that position along with LB position. It's out 2 weakest spots

@@Phillyflyover yeah I mean it could go either way on those 2 positions. Any injury and we are screwed. Devin white goes down. Screwed. CJGJ or REED goes down. Screwed. If we could put literally any kind of money into the LB or safety other than Devin white and CJGJ people would be saying how crazy different this defense is but we put the smallest amount we could towards those positions in which we did get great players but literally 1 at each position.... No depth there

Appreciate the true words about Davis. That media narrative started last year super pissed me off.

If we can get JD playing at 315 or 320 im thinking he'll be a good 1st and 3rd down play..Gage will be a good rotation piece for JD or JC alone with Milton Williams. At safety we have alot of young CB that we can develop into safety. I like Ringo at CB but ill prefer him at safety he can be the next Jenkin with his size and speed..

He’s still developing, all our safeties had trouble in pass coverage cause of horrible coaching, players couldn’t anticipate they were forced to react. I swear our OC&DC did all they could to handicap us, this is what is scary, we won 11games on talent and experience. Now with good coaching, oh man this will be the scariest Eagle team in my lifetime, probably the most dominate Eagles team I will ever see. Our poor defense had to deal with Gannon, Desai, & the biggest con man in Patricia this idiot shouldn’t be allowed on a football field. Look out

Cooper is not moving to safety. Reed will be the starter and he’ll be fine. We all judge players on last season, but it’s an asterisk. There was no coaching and even slay said there was no communication, the most important part to a secondary.

I like our secondary maybe a solid safety but cjgj I trust at safety reed last yr earned my trust I believe in dejean Rodgers can do it all I believe in Sydney brown maybe one more safety we’d have a top 5 secondary

I think you need to give Davis more leeway, we were spoiled with fletch and now Jalen Carter getting started quickly, JD with develop in time we just have to give it to him

Davis is a first rounder we actually traded up for so I don’t think we can give him leeway.

Y’all thought I was crazy when I called him a bust when he was first drafted. Slow and lazy, just big. Unless he makes huge improvements this year he goes down as a bust in my book.

Reid is a strong hitter but can't cover for the life of him at all. Sydney can cover and hit. Late reacts sometimes, rookie mistakes but gonna be very good in the near future. I love ❤️ Sydney. I like Reid too but just don't like him on 3rd down deep routes.
