Yes because sometimes a player could have similar stats to another guy but their situations are completely different. Both Hurts and Dak have top 5 teams in terms of talent surrounding them. So the circumstances being the same lends more credibility to the stats.

They gonna compare Dak and Hurts stats and say they are similar over the last 4-5 years but also fail to remember Dak lost an entire year and still has the same stats. @trthepredator Mahomes, Rodgers, Burrow, Brees, and Eli Manning have all won 1 or fewer playoff games in their career when throwing multiple ints. Throwing multiple ints then requires you to rely on the defense hence making you part of why the team loses if it does.

Jalen hurts is good-ok but he’s limited to what he can do and I think their defense keeps them alive against superior teams. Not even a Cowboys fan but I’m taking Dak over Hurts any day and it’s not even close. Everyone wants to talk about how Hurts went to the Super Bowl but let’s be real they got to play the Giants and the 49ers who couldn’t even attempt a forward pass to get to the super bowl. Acho said Hurts has never been the reason his team has lost in the playoffs but what about his most recent playoff game? Why does Hurts get a pass for that game just because his defense was bad? The offense put up 9 points, it’s not like they were in a shootout. Gotta keep that same energy they have for Dak losing to Green Bay. I’m simply pointing out that just because you won more playoff games doesn’t make you a better QB. Jimmy Garoppolo is a perfect example for that. I don’t care if Hurts played better in one game, I think Hurts is a better QB than Garoppolo obviously but I’m not making that judgment based off of who played better in the Super Bowl.

Yeah the problem is they are asked to do a lot different. Jalen is in a more rpo heavy offense, and Dak is in a more pass heavy offense. So Dak looks more impressive in the regular season while Jalen ends up being alot more efficient. Also I think Daks coaches failed him when it mattered most. Also Hurts played like in MVP in that Superbowl.

Hurts was top 3 in Ints last year, most QBs that do this have tons of passing yards but he did not. Tp put it in perspective Hurts was 20th passing from within the pocket last year & far outside the top 10 in every other QB stat. The reality is Hurts has better WRs overall, 100% a better oline, a better RB last year & top10 TE but failed

James is right. All Hurts had to do was score more than 7 points in both playoff games.

@@YungSwoosh68 So you never played the sport. Its okay. Most people have no clue. DEFENSE wins championships. The Cowboys brought out a defense with NO LINEBACKERS. That's why good teams ran the ball all over them and beat the brakes out of them. To beat good defenses, you need a Run game as well as a passing game. The Cowboys had a running back who had the vision of a junebug. Dak ain't the Cowboys problem, and he's a much better quarterback than most other QBs in the league.

If we're taking last year into account, Dak should definitely be ahead of Hurts. They were both 0-1 in the playoffs, and Hurts became one of most turnover prone QBs in the league without Steichan calling plays. I personally think Dak is the 11th best, and Hurts is around the 13th.

Eagles fan here: Dak is absolutely the better QB, as he should be after 8 years in the league. Can make the argument that Hurts is a better player overall, but can’t deny Dak being the better QB

The amount of years have to matter and Jalen has only had one year of great QB play. I can’t just say, 10 toes down, that Jalen is better than Dak.

I really cannot believe this is still a discussion today when we know who is more reliable in the playoffs and who isn’t

Then he beat a San Francisco team with a fourth string quarterback. He also had a 121 yd that game and 0 touchdowns, but yes, please continue. First of all, he didn’t say being a game manager was bad. Listen to that entire video he posted. He talked about how game managers control the game, don’t make mistakes and slow it down to ensure a victory. There is nothing wrong with that. Tom Brady was that for nearly half of his career.

Herm said it best. "You play to win the game". Jalen any day over Dak.

Dak may not have better stats than Hurts, the same way Rodgers has better stats than Brady. But as we can see Brady wins and Rodgers gets the stats or highlights. Brady won games and did not and won't be the reason his teams looses (hence Brady) and Dak will always be the reason that Cowboys looses (hence Rodgers). That's why Brady will always be better than Rodgers who like Dak is accomplished but Brady won games and was not the reason his team lost which made them Win more and when it mattered most. It's simple.
