Red Dwarf Cast Reunion Comic Con Liverpool 2024 (Full Show Q&A Panel, Very Funny)
Tens of thousands of fantasy fans from around the world have descended on Liverpool for one of the biggest Comic Con events in the world.
The festival is a celebration of films, TV and gaming across many generations of pop culture.
Headlining the event is Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom who will be appearing on both days of the event, which has taken over the city.
He is joined by his Middle Earth co-stars Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd, who all starred in the Oscar-winning trilogy.
Doctor Who and Red Dwarf actors, as well as American director Kevin Smith, are also among some of the famous faces confirmed for the two-day event.
From Star Wars to Fallout, all sorts of fantasy characters are walking around Exhibition Centre and Liverpool docks for the popular convention.
Andy Kleek, CEO of Monopoly Events, said: "It's region-wide event now. People come from all over the country and all over the world.
"It's great that we're doing something that people love so much."
Red Dwarf and former Coronation Street star Craig Charles says the event is "incredible for Liverpool."
"Ive heard this is the biggest comic con in Europe now - so it’s great to the city", he said.
"I'm surprised by how many people are here to see me. I don't do them [comic con] very often because I work weekends DJ-ing. They've changed a lot and are more popular.
"I'm surprised that people know about things I did so long ago! It's great to meet the fans and see the joy on their faces.
"We just don't get enough time with them because there's so many people!
Comic Con Liverpool will open to fans at 9am on Saturday, 4 May, and close at 6pm on Sunday, 5 May.
one of my only reasons for coming here today glad i got to film the whole of this...

Not really - I mean, there was Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones - and then Blackadder - - - and many others.
Was buying lunch today, and I turned and I noticed this 50 something asian guy standing behind with a tattoo in the inside of his right forearm. Just a string of words running up the middle of his forearm. I looked at him for a few seconds, and then looked back as his arm. I looked back at him, with what was likely a shocked look on my face. This guy, who I wouldn't recognise or look at twice on a normal day, looked down at his arm and the string of letters spelling out "Mind that Bus! What Bus? Splat", and said to me, it's from a TV Show. I looked at him again, and rolled up my right shirt sleeve, showing the words, "Mind that Bus! What Bus? Splat", tattooed down the middle of my own arm. "Well, it should be strange if I didn't know that, considerinf that we got the tattoos the same day". It was his turn to look shocked, and he realised he was standing next to the person who, 30 years ago he considered one of his best friends. Years, and moving to different countries, and life in general had separated us, and neither of us would have recognized each other except for this string of words on an arm. We chatted, exchanged numbers, and are catching up this weekend. I could have put it off, as I was a bit busy this weekend, but your really shouldn't leaves things until tomorrow if you can do them today. After all, life is short, and you never know when all off a sudden you are dead, and the only warning you got was, "Mind that Bus! What Bus? Splat"

My dad raised us on the Goons initially as youngsters and the British comedy love just grew from there for us here in Australia. ThenDave Allen Show, ThenTwo Ronnie’s, Porridge, Open all Hours, Ello Ello, Dads Army. I watched these shows with my darling dad, who has gone recently, and ai am forever grateful for the time just he and I spent together laughing our butts off, wonderful memories for me. This love of British humour has been passed to my son who has a massive collection himself. We Aussies can do some brilliant humour, but you guys are just the best!! Red Dwarf was my discovery though, and my son and I just loved watching these guys all together, who were meant to be together! I hope that when I go, my boy has wonderful memories of us watching you guys and laughing our butts off too.

Thx, for posting! It's great to see the camaraderie between them. I watched it when it's was first originally broadcast & like many a good TV series, it took a wee bit of time to fully "get" the characters & understand the situation, etc. Over the years, it grew on you & seemed to improve like a fine wine. I have been watching the repeats over the last few years & love & appreciate it even more. To me it has that great 80's, 90's vibe which is great to revisit & reminisce too, including those "home made" craft shop sets 😁👍

@mossygreen2790
Ай бұрын
Yes me too . I recall Kryten mk 1. I could see why a US version would've not worked because they "over do" everything & don't really transfer the typical UK style comedy, pathos, sarcasm, irony, etc, though these days, younger Americans get the humour more? Also the US network don't/didn't, nurture their productions? If they don't see good, solid, instant results, they cancel quickly. Massive changes in digital media, are certainly changing things these past few years?

Space Corps directive #1742
Can anyone help - I've been searching for a video clip of an incident at a Red Dwarf event, in which a young girl - aged about 11 I guess, and the picture of youthful innocence - approached the mic to put a question to Craig and Robert. "What's SMEG?" she inquired. To her astonishment, Craig and Rob simultaneously collapsed onto the floor, howling like gibbons as they apparently tried to crawl into it, before hopping around dementedly like vanquished contestants in robot wars. Surely this footage must still exist, somewhere - and hopefully, there is someone here who knows where to find it?

I remember watching the first season, being delighted by the great writing, characters and humour. What a gift that the show continued (on and off) for so many years.
i just realised, the dynamic between them, theyre like the british ghostbusters! (you can guess which one is which)

My favourite series is Series 3, and my favourite episodes are Series 3 Episode 1 _Backwards_ , Series 3 Episode 4 _Bodyswap_ , and Series 4 Episode 2 _DNA_ . I also like the _Backwards - Forwards_ extra from the Series 3 DVD 😂

Sure would. It sounds like they're filming a new special.. rather than full series (for now). I think filming 2 series back to back worked really well for them last time.. so I hope they can do that again one day 🤞
Id go with Betty, but id be thinking of Wilma.

I remember here in Australia flicking through channels late at night and happened to see the start of the first episode and then saw the title saying "The End" and thought "Oh Smeg!!! Another great show I have missed." Luckily for me that was the start of the first episode the first time airing here. I have been a fan and totally hooked since.
I've got a feeeling that this is going to be your most watched video ever!!!

Grief, considering the last special they did was in 2020, Chris Barrie seems to have aged about 20 years in the last four. And Danny is really grey now. Truly four of my favourite comedy actors ever, I hope they're all around for a long while still 😭

Nah, Chris Barrie looks the same as he did in The Promised Land. It's just the lack of wig which makes him look older.

It all kind of passed me by at the time but a few years back, with the wonders of digital TV services etc, I watched all the episodes from all seasons plus specials in release order and became a fan along the way. Right up there as a classic of sci-fi, comedy, and British quirkiness.
