I love how the bison come when you call them. I've been fascinated with them since I was in elementary school, and I will be turning 70 this fall. What you are doing for them is so important to our country. Watching you all with them brings me so much joy! Being housebound and recliner/bedbound for the past 10 years because of my ME/CFS, and more, makes me feel trapped in my body and in a small area of our home. Your videos give me such a blessed, much needed escapes. The same goes for Daniel and DeJay, and the Eddy family. I feel so blessed to be following all three families! You all give me such a blessed boost to my moral. God bless you all. With love and prayers for you all, Donna Gulyas in Spring Hill, Florida. 🙏🙏🙏

It's amazing how your herd has grown over the years. I believe I've been watching since the beginning. I remember watching videos of the cabin purchase and remodel. Time flies the older you get. It's flying by for me! I even remember when Brooks was born and how much I thought she looks so much like your sister. She still does! She is growing up so fast!

Seeing your herd is just amazing. I'm from South Dakota, and I know we have quite a few in the state. But it's great to see you growing your herd. I can't even imagine what the land was like back in history when there were thousands upon thousands of these animals across the land. To think us humans almost made them extinct. What a shame that would have been. Congratulations on your growing herd, Dusty.

Hard to even picture that!! YOU are keeping some history alive Dusty. Good on ya mate!! Blessings on you and yours Dusty. Thanks for all your great videos and informative teachings.

By 1883 they were almost extinct. That means that to truly see the bison you would have to go back to the late 1700s or very beginning of the 1800s.

The bison sculptures found in the Le Tuc d’Audoubert cave in Ariège, France, are extraordinary examples of prehistoric art, estimated to be around 14,000 years old. Dating back to the Upper Paleolithic period, specifically the Magdalenian culture, these sculptures depict two bison and are remarkable for their detail and realism. Discovered in 1912 by the three teenage sons of the French count Henri Begouën, the sculptures have been well-preserved due to the cave’s stable environment. Crafted in high relief from clay, the bison showcase the skill and artistic ability of prehistoric humans. The artists used their hands, fingernails, and simple tools to shape the clay, creating lifelike textures and details such as fur and muscle structure.

So happy 18 babies!! All look healthy! Bison are bred to move around, it’s in their genes. Tatonkas have been migrating for years. Native Americans knew the time of the year they would be on the move. The tribes would pack up to find them, then the hunt was on its way. Am so glad the movies show this history of those times.. but even so, I did not like forcing them off a Clift in order to get their hides .. so much lost for survival. Little did the pioneers realize. Love to see th babies playing together.

ITS STILL TOO EARLY TO KNOW JUST WHERE THE HURRICANE WILL BE GOING, BUT THEY WILL HAVE TORNADOES. THE CALVES NEED TO BE CLOSE TO THE HOUSE, SO THE WINDS CANT PICK THEM UP AND HURT THEM. REMEMBER DANIEL AND DEEJAY LOST A BABY JACK FROM THE TORNADO THAT HIT SULPHUR. THE BABY JACK WAS ABOUT 2 WEEKS OLD.

The National Wild Turkey Federation has been doing some research recently in Oklahoma due to some of the declines. They can potentially help with transplant birds which will give better results. See if you can get in contact with the local NWTF club. Unfortunately they haven't given very good results for pen raised and released poultry. They will typically do capture in late winter or very early spring before mating and nesting begins.

Congratulations on your turkey chicks 🎉 glad your trying to bring them back to your area. I live in Northern Ohio and growing up i remember hearing Bob White quails calling in the summer time. Its been years since i heard one now i was thinking about trying that with them here. Its sad what us humans do to animal populations without thinking about the future. We only think about it when its almost too late.
