I think the one thing that really made me love Arthur as a character would be at the last mission. you’re given the option to help John or go back for the money. If you choose to help John, Arthur will say something along the lines of “I’m coming with you, I’m gonna get you out of this bullshit if that’s the last thing I do” Arthur knew he was gonna die, if Dutch’s gang or the Pinkertons didn’t kill him, the Tuberculosis would. Arthur knew he would die, but he was going to make sure John got away with his family.

I don't wanna play as Arthur in another game. The reason why Arthur's story is so incredible is because he went from killer outlaw to honorable warrior who helped the helpless because he felt that it was right. The first game was about John's making up for his past sins, his redemption. The second game was about Arthur's redemption. It's in the title of the game. The stories of these games have to be about the redemption of a man (or a woman). I'm betting if they make a third, which I'm guessing they will, it will be about Jack in the prohibition era. Maybe they will have him join the military during WWI, and then after the war he becomes a bootlegger or something. And then he gets his redemption. Or they will have the game be about the gang before RDR2, though it would be hard to end at the blackwater robbery because then there wouldn't be any free roam available after that; the gang would be heading up into the mountain in the start of the second game

The thing is that in 7:29 the place where the Pinkertons looking for John is the place where John, Abigail and Uncle were buried. Also in another scene (probably when you finish the game and come to ranch), where John and Abigail talk about their new life is the same place where they buried.

I vividly remember watching this while high. When I saw Mary at Arthur’s grave that shit hit me on a different level.

Poo ie but they couldn’t do that do to fact that he kills John in red dead 1, red dead 1 was set before rd2, that would make read dead 1 stupid. It also wouldn’t even make sense to do that considering it would fuck up the whole story line in rd1

Arthur Morgan and John marston two legends and 2 of my favorite characters ever they both will be missed

Fun fact: 6:15 Roger Clark (the actor who played Arthur) was actually a stand-in for Mary Linton when she was standing at Arthurs grave. He provided the motion capture for the scene and they just overlaid Mary's character over his body. Heard it in an interview with Roger.

haven't played a game where i've really connected with characters in a long time. lot of people i feel i'm mourning... won't let it go for some time, but blessed i was able to play

I didn’t get to finish all of the cutscenes because my power went out, luckily this video is here and my game auto saved.

It would be amazing if they let you play RDR1 right after the ending. A full game after another full game.

Damn rockstar really don’t know how to have a happy ending we just finished read dead 2 and johns alive now they gotta show him finding John ready to bring back his men

there should of been a scene at the end of just arthur walking down a scenic path and some beautiful music playing in the background

Honestly seeing the ending of red dead redemption has never made me cry so much and I’m not one to cry a whole lot. It really hits my heart ❤️

Too bad arthur never made a move on mary, would of been a cool mission to take her out in the town.

After helping her with her dad and getting back her brooch that he tried to sell on her she offers to go to a theater with Arthur and in the game I accepted the offer and watched the whole show. After the show she was the one who pushed them becoming a close item again and running away but Arthur knew she would end up killed and explained that he was a wanted man.

this game is truly beautiful, there is no game out there that can beat this. I rest my case.
