I honestly think they were meant to be lovers but then tom came into it. Writers then deviated to the father daughter thing

Tom & Liz were married when Red came into Lizzie’s life. However, Tom was a fraud and his entire time with her was a lie. Yes, after Liz finds out he’s a fake she’s dine with him. But the the writer’s disappointment us by dumbing Liz to go back to him… even with their choice they still could have kept the Red-Lizzie going to become something better than what we got.

The best of of the series were the earliest episodes. S1-S3.5 solidified a strong relationship between the two characters. The writers took their relationship to another dimension which I found unsettling for Liz and unattractive for Reddington.

Some people clearly have issues. A father can love their daughter but the way red loves Lizzie is more than just that. If your a father or a mother and your daughter is a grown woman. Would you devote your whole life to her,??? And if your a daughter or a son and your grown up, you haven’t known your parent for most of your life. When you finally met you get close and maybe just a little bit too close. Then you betray them because they keep not telling you the truth. If your parent is so dear to you, why betray them,??? Red and Lizzie are complicated but they’re real and they love each other with love and with hate. They’re driven by a deeper meaning in life, they’re driven by each other. Tell me otherwise♠️♥️ #lizzington
