It's been a while since he's upgraded his computer.

I wonder why EA failed so hard after this? This was so fucking great. Has to be the best song in the series and RA3 was actually genuinely good. My favourite C&C was RA2 but only because I like the variety in nation specials.

yes.. C&C soundtrack is one of my best, C&C universe is so great and their songs are really awesome.. but it's EA, they will kill every C&C games.. C&C 2 Tiberian Sun songs are really fun :) tbh i prefer few C&C 4 songs, but my favourite songs are from RA3, they are just amazing :)

Developers need time to develop, not just a single game but many many years, they grow with the company, grow more skilled and build a relationship with the franchise they develop, and the games gradually improve. But when EA bought Westwood Studio, they didn't think it made enough money so they shut it down, completely uprooting the developers, then they gave C&C to EA LA, which they also later shut down as well. I am pretty sure EA has shut down 7 studios related to C&C. No studio can stick around long enough to actually develop the franchise properly.

@@Eugene_14 хорошие игры есть и сейчас. Их просто искать надо, или знать хороших обзорщиков. А насчет "духовности" это вы, конечно, загнули. Есть например сравнительно недавно вышедная игра "12 минут". Для умных, где главная мысль (судя по главной концовке) - очень нравственная. Тем не менее, игра осталась где то на задворках. Почему? Кто ищет духовности. Читают книжки. Смотрят умные фильмы (таких мало, но они есть). Ходят в Церкви. Ходят к лежачим больным и бесплатно за ними ухаживают. Игры же - это сугубо развлечение. Расслабон. Говорить о духовности в контексте игр неуместно.

I can't help but feel a sense of tragedy in this track. Not only for Yuriko as a character in this expansion, but for how it encapsulates C&C's eventual downfall with the forth entry. Practically undermined by the very company that bought out the masterminds behind it as Westwood. Makes you look back on characters that you'll miss from the prior games.

+majorduke11 remember all of that are yuriko`s mission exclusive abilites. in game she can only use telekinesis psycho burst and levitation which half of it can be done by yuri as well in RA2 yuri can use levitation mind control and psi blast. considering if yuri had his own campaign where he does the job personally. he would have been as powerful as yuriko in a mission in a yuri campaign.

Unless she gets sniped before getting in range of Natasha. But yeah, Yuri is no match for Yuriko. I doubt he'd be able to grasp into her mind, and then she'd probably break him mentally from all the memories of traumatic experimentation, training, ptsd, etc. Then there's the fact Yuri is completely nonlethal, whereas Yuriko crushes everything in a matter of seconds

I listened to Yuriko's Theme 10 years ago, Making Of A Cyborg 5 years ago. Just recently I came to realize the similarity so I came looking for this comment and I got exactly what I want.

I just made Yuriko an Allied hero unit exclusive to japanese faction in my modded Yuri's revenge, mostly to counter Yuri Prime.

@@AndreTheSalty Well, My previous coment was a joke,but truely, by what i learned, Yuriko was an attempt to Create a Personality, and powerful Phsycic like Yuri, Im pretty sure the devs created Yuriko thinking of yuri. Just replaced it with a girl, and a night design since Yuri died. Which brings me to the Yuri Reborned as a school girl in Red Alert 3. It was their purpose but as in RA2 Yuri could not be controled. >_

@@DartLuke precisely, that is why she is so deadly in AI's hands, because computer can instantaneously switch between targets, while a player-controlled Yuriko is more likely to be overwhelmed with multiple units. BTW, apart from Natasha you can hard counter her with a Spy in an IFV. V4 with MIRV warheads can be effective too

After playing ghots of tsushima nad hearing the similiar song it reminded me this immideatly. This song is marking the era of games with less transactions and more build quality.. Good times..

@Armedrainbow it was inspired by it the all that devs new about japan they got from anime so they somehow got it right acualy all units are inspired by anime like giga fortress (code geass), jets that transfroms into machine gun armed ground units (macross franchise), etc

It is a great anime and this and that have both great soundtracks

They should've spent all their time in Yuriko's campaign. The other factions were so forgettable.

True. Yuriko's campaign was something quite new for a C&C game. Weird at first, but it was quite refreshing to play. The Empire of the Rising Sun's final campaign was awesome though. Hitting on the soviets with 3 giga-fortress.

I really like this song. It has that ambient feeling that Yoshiro's Empire still exists (eventhough Yoshiro comitted suicide in RA3 as the Allies defeated the Empire at Tokyo). funny when people harp on about Ra3 being worse than Ra2 Yr, they forget just bad Yr balance was, online, it was a one faction rps, yuri was considered massively op and soviets were near unless unless you rush.

Ra3 is not as good as ra2 in terms of story, but it light years ahead of it in balance and MP, there is no competition.

Soviet useless? Soviet had the option of filling up flak tracks with soldiers who Ivan had put dynamite on, and then rush it into the enemy base (during iron curtain invulnerabillty) Nothing to stop it. Literally. And then they just suicide for absolutely outrageous damage. How is this bad?

That strategy is completely impractical to pull off in a real game. It's too expensive and takes too long to get all the necessary tech, and then wait for the iron curtain to charge. You'll be dead long before then.
