Recycling in the Philippines: How to Make Bags from Sacks
There are so many mothers who cannot find job because they have kids to look after to or they don't have enough education to land proper jobs. This is what inspired us to help mothers earn a living through creating beautiful bags out of laminated sacks. And it has made a difference for them!

Awesome bags and good to see local community making use of plastics in artistic way 🎨
Wow, you ladies are amazing! This is so ingenius. You should post all aspects so others can emulate your project. I also suggest you post a tutorial for making the bags. You'd get a lot of hits and help get rid of a lot of plastic. I'm going to send this to a friend of mine who is retiring to focus on her animal sanctuary, needs money and has a ton of feed bags. What joyous meaningful lives you must have. God bless you all!

Our ladies teach how to make these as well.
Indeed lovely. This foundation does a lot of important and good work. However, the money the women get for making the bags is not enough for them to become self sufficient and they do not learn how to market these bags and become independent entrepreneurs, so this means it's not actually a livelihood program. Sadly they get paid a comparable fee that works out to be below the Filipino minimum wage per hour worked. However, it does create a livelihood for the creators and marketers of the products who sell them at high prices in luxury hotels and overseas. Apparently the money they make selling the bags goes back into the foundation to help others who need it.
Very nice
