The workers need to wear masks to prevente occupational exposures to fungi, dust and other allergens that could be dangerous
It’s not just reuse…. It begins with reduce.
We have a lot of these bins in Msia mainly in cities, and I usually send my old clothes, bag, shoes, and many more when I do spring cleaning at my house. I am seriously glad that these factory exists, and it actually make me happy that I somewhat donate my items for good use later on. I also joined their telegram group to keep up with their new programs etc. But, of course seeing boxes of my family's unused or broken items, make me think throughly when I buy new things. My advice is that, when you attracted to something and want to buy it, wait for 3 days and if after 3 days you still thinking of it as necessities and regret not buying, then buy it. I avoid impulse buying by using this method hahaha
I just recycled a few kilos of clothes a few days ago. What a nice coincidence to learn what happens to some recycled clothes!
I wish the whole world could do this, amazing. I love it
Many many Praises to this Co. Ur doing a great job! God Bless u from India🙏🇮🇳
Australia has a similar concept called Upparel. Nothing gets sent overseas. Small cost to recycle. Great initiative.
Wow, thank you for this. I would love to reach out to this organization because this is what we all should be doing. It's disturbing to see how wasteful we are, but I'm so grateful to see that some countries actually help the people and the land. To all the workers, much respect, and to whoever covered this story, thank you 😊 Peace unto you.
Delighted when such a bin for paper is available at my block. Now I need this yellow bin in Punggol. I will travel to Sengkang for it too! The thing about these bins is they are sometimes full when I lug my recyclables there so must try to check percentage filled before making the trip.

That's very true! If we can all reduce how much we buy and consume, then the planet will thank us! In the mean time, we need to inform everyone that textiles recycling is possible and achievable, providing we all work together.
*Great news and this is remarkably an excellent effort so well done to this Recycling Team*
Awesome job. I am glad, my effort pay off for me travelled on the way to Hougang just to dispose of my clothing into the yellow bin. Good job.
This is great...but let's all buy only what you need. Buy well made clothes that can last and cut down on cheap fashion that cannot be recycled at all

Agree. Buy less waste less. Same with food. Too much new food/deinks created which do not add much to our well being (eg. Bubble tea)

No clothes will last forever though. Exclude all those luxury goods with good preservation and worn only occasionally. Like cotton, no matter how good quality is it, will eventually turn old quickly if wearing everyday. Others all will eventually become old or out of Fashion, and being discarded or donated. Unless everyone just buy a few clothes for everyday changing, wear will torn and tear. Besides the buyers, the manufacturers and sellers also keep producing new clothes (not all good quality too). And people will move on to better goods when they have ability to afford them. Low quality or good quality goods all have different markets.
After these are resold to the poorer nations, they will still eventually end up in the landfills, ELSEWHERE.
Don't buy things you don't need.

We need to cleanse the body when it is dirty. Similarly, we need to drink plenty of water to cleanse the internal organs when they are dirty. According to the foundational work of Chinese medicine, Yellow Emperor’s Inner Classic, water is the best medicine. Consuming plenty of water cleanses our internal body. What is the best remedy for spiritual cleansing? It is the Three Golden Buddhist Practices of Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door: making vows, performing recitations of Buddhist scriptures and performing life liberation.

Interesting, the bible in the Old Testament thousands of years earlier than Buddhist teachings says that water purifies symbolically and also use in baptism. Wonder if Buddha was a student of Christianity and started his own religion after learning from Christians back then.
I'm more interested in what happens to all the used bra and panties!!!! 🤣

But it is a great option... The only problem is... When we start recycling... At a large scale... Rich countries dump largely ... Indians recycle almost everything... In one way or the other... At their scale ... Which.. i think... Is a more easy option... Convenient!!!
Karung guni business are low value added business headed for resource short countries. China has just exited this industry and like Singapore will soon be exporting this items to the resources poor states which is half the global population. That's life. How they repackaged this to make it attractive. Point to note, such business is destructive to the budding industrialist in such countries. 😳👮♂️
These ppl are Real true hero 🙌. Not Trudeau or Biden.
U only know how to scold don't know how to repent or see u all lots of mistakes
