I feel like they should just change it up. Use this for some of them, use different variants for others (might be hard to find the budget with the state they’re at now though)
Since you've done Netflix you have to do the Disney+ one. This was literally incredible!

Those three days' work produced something great 🔥
I love the part at the end when you talked about the "why". I've recently been working on creating new instagram filters to post every day and people ask why. Is there money in it? Maybe at some point, but for now the why is because I want to and it's a new fun way for me to create. Not everything needs to be a side hustle. You can do things because you enjoy them and I think that sometimes get's lost in our culture today. If something goes viral and you somehow make money, that's fantastic, but I think it's super important to have things you do simply for joy.

I wish more ppl could understand this. Why do I spend my spare time passionately contributing to open source projects, notifying others about bugs, trying to make the best UIs, animations and apps ever, all without expecting any money in return? Because I LOVE what I do, and the outcome is super rewarding in and of itself. Getting a $1 million instead would not yield the same satisfaction

As another animator, I'm curious why you hot glue your stands to the floor as opposed to only sandbagging them down? You are the only person I've seen use that technique, wondering what the idea is there. Does it add a significant amount of strength more than sandbags?

Wow! Professional stop-motion animation looks awesome! When u see tv series (or movies) like Shaun the sheep you know what an incredible work there is behind the scenes. Your work is fantastic! 👍Thank you for this behind-the-scenes video and an insight into your thoughts.
*AWESOME!!* Your CTV NATIONAL NEWS segment air date Nov 4, 2022 brought me here. Keep up the great work!
I am a software developer and when I saw the title I was expecting a different yarn... But I still like the video xD P.S. I have no idea what was in my mind and how anyone would make the Netflix intro with a package manager. I guess I just need some time off.

We're the same lol. I didn't expect this yarn. Thought dude was going to make that intro out of some commands lol.
I love your dedication to detail!
That is pretty much spot-on so well done! I hope you're considering doing more of these process videos like you used to do. They're cool and I enjoy watching everything unfold and your explanations for what you're doing. I was surprised at how it's been over a year since the last one before this.
This should be used for children shows and movies in Netflix, nice. All of that hard work was done correctly.
Holy crap that's pretty much an identical yarn version wtf?! And it only just took three days?! I'm not underestimating the time and effort taken but from the end result you would have thought it'd taken longer no???
The process reminds me of how broadcasters in the Eastern Bloc during the 1980s used physical objects to do special effects on intros since they still didn't have access to 3D CGI unlike the US, Western Europe, and essentially almost everywhere else at the time. Imagine how innovative, imaginative, and mind-blowing our animations and special effects would have been these days if people knew how to animate like this ninety years ago.

Or in the West before that. I remember seeing how the animated Eurovision logo was made and it also involved, IIRC, a lot of illuminated, tensioned strings to produce ray-like effects.
I couldnt tell which one was the actual intro until the very last frame or so when you can see that red strip is yarn textured. Its so similar otherwise.
This is fantastic for kids to watch. Your amazing Kevin. Much love from the uk 🇬🇧.
Very cool, congrats! 🧶💖
This is insane. Your work always impresses me, Kevin.
I love seeing behind the scenes stuff! What a neat idea, and excellent execution.
This was amazing! I hope Netflix see this and wants to license it. Really loved the edit too.
You actually did INSANE with this! the detail is incredible
This was insane!!! Love the way it turned out! You could consider doing the Colombia Pictures logo screen like before the movies, but the zombieland one where she gets attacked by zombies in something like clay... would be super fun visually.
My guy where did you go
4:20 - yeah, I can see it's $30 worth of equipment there too. :D Sick animation.
Very impressive! Particularly how well you colour matched the yarn in the fly out part 🤩
YOU UPLOADED AFTER MONTHS!!!
Great video! You should also make the disney+ intro.
There are so many shows on Netflix which could use this intro!
You can just see it in his eyes... He is in the zone!
