There's now multiplayer on monster truck destruction and it's pretty cool. I've beaten a lot of noobs on freestyle and I don't loose my streak of wins that much

It is, but it’s still in more of an ideas/early development phase going off of replies to reviews on the App Store. But, the developers, Odd Games, have confirmed multiple times that MTD2 will come eventually but there isn’t an ETA as of yet. Also, judging by the replies it does seem like MTD2 will be massive in comparison to just about any other monster truck game with a list of potential trucks and features, so look forward to that whenever it gets announced

I agree that the 2nd steel titans has slightly better physics than the first one, and both have better graphics than monster truck destruction. But physics, monster truck destruction has better physics.
