Just a FYI ..... That purple ARB winch extension strap is 65' long. So the comparison to the 20' rope extension and space used is off.

ARB is a great brand for Recovery Straps!

Ive seen some recovery straps that are made out of Nylon and some polyester what is the difference between the two?

the nylon has more stretch and is not suited for a winch extension.

What bag are you using to store the winch extension in?

The small one? It's a stuff sack we no longer made. Our strap bag and large recovery bags will fit winch extensions plus the other rigging gear.

I am looking at a lot of these videos about recovery gear and they never tell you the life of the straps why is this some people say 2 to 3 pulls others say up to 10 ? If that is the case the straps only last for years if you don’t use them 10 pulls on a strap and it’s done that’s not exactly great is it

Mainly because it’s relative. A strap can handle dozens of light pulls or maybe only one super heavy pull. Key thing is to inspect your gear on a regular basis and know when to toss it out.

we have used a number of them over the years on the trail and most of worked well, But i have only owned Wern's to this point.

Is a snatch strap the same as a tow strap?

the key difference in straps amount of stretch, the snatch straps have about 20% stretch and the winch extensions have almost none.

If your pulling a truck with a truck you want something with stretch . if you are using a winch to pull the stuck truck you want something with on stretch.

Can i use snatch for regular towing or better use a winch extension for regular towing?

One is a tow strap the other is a snatch strap!
