@@Friendooo123 No. ITs just the SYstem 32 folder that gets deleted. Basically what deleting System32 does is wipe all critical files REQUIRED to run windows. Doesn't neccesarely wipe your entire PC or delete your pc... How can deleting a folder just reduce your desktop/laptop to atoms

linux is just as unsecure (not saying as vulnerable as windows, but you can do the same with chroot and modify /etc/shadow). unless you encrypt the drive but windows also has that nowadays

@@J6rg3n the button next to the power button on the login screen is the accessibility button. That runs a program called ‘utilman.exe’ (probably utility manager). What you are doing is renaming it to utilman.old so it won’t do anything, then you copy the command prompt .exe and rename it as utilman.exe, so the command prompt runs when you click the accessibility button

Honestly…. I really this thought this was not gonna work. I got the same “The system cannot find the path specified.” as others and didn’t want to accept the system32 part. I just entered it a second time and it worked. Followed everything from A-Z and got in. Like baking a cake. Follow the instructions lol

Significantly easier than the way I used to do it Go into recovery, get it to dumper diagnostic. Open the file Explorer through notepad. Navigate to the system thirty two folder and manually renamed them

Can be done much easier by clicking reset pc in the recovery menu then turn off while at a few percent by holding power button then it logs in, save data and create new account

“Recover password without resetting it” Proceeds to tell you to reset your password. Garbage!

This doesn't work with all computers, as some might have a bitlocker that doesn't let you access the drive at all if you're not logged in.

You just helped so many thieves and hackers.

This method of holding shift and restarting the PC doesnt work anymore on newer versions of windows. You can still do it by booting into a windows install on a flash drive and accessing the drive for your other windows install on your computer to achieve the same thing. Edit: For those wanting to prevent this so malicious people cant gain access to your computer, both of these methods can be beaten by just setting up encryption on your hard drive. (bitlocker for instance)

Even easier method: Put Hirens BootCD onto a USB flash drive. Then boot off of it and use the Password Reset Tool inside of it and then just restart and the password will have been removed and can be set to whatever you want

Yea, except, that defender might catch it as malicious on newer windows 10 versions, so it only might work. This is shown on a windows 10 1607 from 2016 btw

These kind of tutorials are also helping the ones who want to crack your password. The whole point of your pc password is to not get a new one until you type in the old one. But even if this tutorial works, you can set up a BIOS password, which is way harder to crack, because the pc won't even boot up, until you type it in. And write down your passwords if you can't remember them!

Nowadays windows OS no longer supports to easily reset a pc. No matter what option you choose, from keep files, erase everything to Command promt option, it will still ask for admin password before you proceed🤷‍♂️

The problem with sh*t, cookie cutter short videos is, they're just sloppy. This guy forgets to mention that you should rename the "utilman" back to it's original name once you've completed the process. When you're done, you NEED to rename from "utilman.Old" it to "utilman.exe" or else you won't be able to use the accessibility feature from the log in screen. Even though I've never used it in my life, I don't like videos like these that cause folks to alter their OS files sloppily like this.

You can also use chntpw on a live linux USB, given that the disk is not Bitlocker encrypted (in which case you will need the Recovery Key)

1st: you need admin privileges to do that (it will ask for a password) 2nd: you can actually erase the password with other tools outside windows but only if the users are local, since for microsoft account you actually need access to the account first. 3rd: please, dont believe in everything you see specially if its something you can do in a few minutes with your own pc.
