I spooled it with 8 LB test mono for lighter lures, gave it some practice casts and found that it did cast well kzread.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e , except that the anti-backlash setting had to be turned up almost all of the way to keep the "overcasts' ' down. I disassembled it, and found that if I potted some "shim washers" behind that anti-backlash magnet assembly, it got the magnets closer to the spool without rubbing, and I could get better control with about a 6 to 7 out out 10-Max setting. I also noticed that the handle shaft had some internal end play, maybe only 2 or 3 thousands of an inch, but it's still noticeable. If the anti-backlash and shaft tolerances were "tightened up" this would be a fantastic value. I've only used it for 4 days of fishing in a month's time, but I plan on keeping it.

I remember in a previous video you suggested the whites for cloudy days and natural colors for sunny days, and I've been usin that ideology ever since between both hard and soft baits. It works!! Keep up the good work, man!!

Frog is definitely my favorite 9n the rivers where I live, but a walking bait does pretty well too

I've been fishing for more than 30 years and I follow the same method as far as white and bone color baits on cloudy days and chrome or natural color on sunny days and I find that's the way to go also.i look forward to more informational and content filled videos.keep up the good work guys.👍

Epic day. Maybe they’re a bit old-fashioned, but my all time favorite top water is the jitterbug. There’s something about that blub blub blub sound on a still summer night, followed by that explosive SPLOOSH, that is absolutely thrilling. Last 4th of July my son and I were on a lake in Maine and, using black jitterbugs, caught a ton of 2-3 pounders, a four-pounder, and a 5.2 pound largemouth. Love it! Great channel - keep it up!

Love your videos. I have aways fished sense I was little. However I always did flyfishing. Your videos inspired me to fix up an old real and rod combo from my great grandpa. Today I went to the store and got stuff for a Texas rig. Went out later in the day and caught 3 bass on a spinning rod. Keep up the great videos man.
