Reconnecting with Your Spouse - Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley (Part 1)
You have good seasons with your spouse…and not-so-good seasons. And sometimes, you just feel like married roommates. On the next two-day Focus on the Family, Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley encourage you to work through exhaustion, busyness, and distractions to reconnect with your spouse. Through daily communication, intentionality, and creating safety within your marriage, you’ll be able to move from married roommates to soulmates, rekindling the love and spark you had in the beginning of your relationship.

Keeping the Sabbath Friday sundown to Saturday, resting and connecting, and honoring our Lord helps relationships❣️🥰💕🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💕
What gives me life...SLEEP! I have 6 kids, sleep recharges me.
I think people don’t realise there’s so many different seasons in marriage

Yup. There is a degree of commitment required when you're in the thick of kids and career and there's not much time for each other.
Marriage centered life 💕 I love that! Not child centered 🤪 life
I find the biggest challenges to marital intimacy are kids, work and hobbies...All of these things are important and essential, and tough to balance.
Hmm, micro moments. Never considered those before. I'll give them a try. Make sense.
I've watched few episodes of your program and you are doing great job.why is john not asking and commenting ,
My marriage needs prayer. We've been married 28 years. I have a few of your books that I listen to because Im struggling in our marriage but I can't get my husband to care. He's 150% on work. everyone around us including our adult kids see it but him. We are talking divorce.

Bonnie, I hope your marriage has improved and that you’re happier. I’m going through similar issues and trying to improve my marriage. It’s been an uphill battle and there have been lots of tears.

I’m sorry, Bonnie. I’ve been married 40 years & most of them were pretty tough. Fortunately we both were willing to work, and this year is the best ever. I think we finally figured it out (& have had a lot of healing from even childhood wounds behind a lot of the unhelpful behavior). Saying a prayer for yours!
Thank you Focus and the Smalley's for this message, its spot on and I can definitely relate to the struggles through this season.
My husband and I are at this place right now!

@Shanon Johnson HI Shanon, has your marriage improved since you last commented on here? My husband always says everything is fine, but isn't on so many levels.
Impactful. Thank you Dr. Greg and Erin.
Brilliant ideas. I'm hopeful
Thank you!
Yes, this is true....bless! the motive and endeavors these four; this broadcast, is meant to do
Do you guys have anything on healing from infadelity?
13:00 Erin asked the question and I thought, "Yeesh, prolly 90%," and folks, I'm here to tell you today that my wife and I are average 😂
Sweet 🥲
....maybe its the beginning of empty nesting...we've run the RACE of dreams, following the hope of raising precious children, (and seeing that FAILURE) caring for aging parents and their death
Where is the link for the couples questions they ask each other?
BOOO..never bad to connect even more..lol
