@varga64 Attention is on PoK or POJK, the thin strip (about 25 km wide strip) of Jhelum River left bank that has the least strategic value (contrary to what you say). Real strategic value is in Gilgit-Baltistan, that is also Pakistan occupied Kashmir territory. PoK is in the news now.

@@RamaKrishna-em5xt I think you are talking about Gilgit-Baltistan (which too is under Pak occupied territory). PoK that is in the news now, is the 40 km wide left bank of Jhelum River (area about 13,000 square kilometers).

I mean , if there is choice to adjust in hindi podcast or English podcast then i think chossing language which is bhartiya is better option than English . Maybe , i hope tamil , Telugu , Malayalam , kannada language become more prominent in rest of India or hindi in rest of india . I want that link language shoul be BHARTIYA LANGUAGE WHEATHER ITS HINDI , TAMIL , TELUGU ETC I CANT SEE FOREIGN LANGUAGE LIKE ENGLISH TO BE CALLED AS LINK LANGUAGE , IT WOULD BE SHAME .

GB has less radicalized population than the Muzaffarabad belt but not sure if it's possible to pick and choose. Our government seems pretty serious since so many ministers have given statements already, but do we know fully what we are potentially signing up for? is the juice worth the squeeze? It is possible that a good number of these people may never truly be patriotic to kafir India. yes, you simply cannot discount the religious angle.

We can control them ..THEY WILL LIVE THEIR LIFE without any disturbance. For example. In Kashmir PEOPLE ONLY GO FOR VACATIONS .. they don't want to settle their . It will be their state of how they want to manage . Indian government will develop infrastructure and revive temples ..And it will give immense job opportunities to them . So PEOPLE ARE NOT PROBLEM AS WE THINK OF IT

Linkage of the CPEC to Xinjiang is detrimental to India’s long term interests vis-a-vis China. GB needs to be integrated into India. Defense is much easier when all access to the Kashmir valley are controlled by India. To this extent we need to integrate relevant areas of POJK. The non-strategic portions may be negotiated with Pakistan for long term stability in the region.

Reclaiming POK is an emotive issue for our countrymen and this is exploited to the fullest by politicians for obvious reasons. In one's honest opinion, despite our military prowess and strength, we do not have overwhelming military superiority over Pakistan to annexe POK by force, contrary to what people may believe. Secondly, the recent demonstrations and unrest in POK against the government in Islamabad may lull people here into believing that there is a clamour for reintegration with India. One believes that this is not the case because the population there has been equally indoctrinated as the rest of Pakistan against a 'Hindu' India since the past seven and half decades. One guesses, maybe wrongly, that this unrest is temporary born out of frustration, but as soon as the Pakistani state is forced to make concessions, cosmetic or surprisingly, even otherwise, things may be back to square one, and India will be once again enemy number one. We may dream of taking POK, the physical land, but the people of that region are beyond integration.

If India were to acquire pok and GB, it will require humongous amount of investment in securing the new extra long border and territory sparsely occupied which will be a huge draw on Indian economy. Our military budget will have to damn near double. In summary loc is relatively blessing in disguise while Pakistan is burdened with hanging on to inhospitable territory. Soon after Simla agreement, then foreign secretary j n.dixit was criticised by the Indian press for surrendering territory gained in the 1971 war, Dixit replied that India does not have the capacity to ensure security and development of the territory so acquired.

"Stated position of India, POK is part of India." Gen. Shankar and Gen. Singh, why were you not able to occupy Kashmir and the "POK"? Were you incompetent, or the Indian republic cannot achieve its "Stated Position." Being an Indian Army officer, you know that your military never could run over Pakistanis. With the kind of advanced weaponry they have now, India cannot even dream of getting an inch of "POK" In my humble opinion, watch your "Chicken Neck" seven states and the two more, I do not want to name now. I challenge you both and the rest of your colleagues to prove it on paper that the Indian military can take Kashmir for the Pakistanis. You have failed militarily and physically in the past 77 years to capture even a small jurisdiction across the LOC in Pakistan. Have some sense, and be an ethical soldier. Stop fooling yourself and the people of India.
