Pentatonix have given the sheet music to young a cappella groups around the world. Some have posted their own covers of PTX. That must feel really cool coming from a group that started out doing covers. Thanks for the reaction. You’re awesome ☮️💟

Love the way you are so moved by them, they affect me the same way. I only discovered PTX a few months ago but am continuously blown away by their talent whether it's a cover or original. They seem to be able to do any genre and make it amazing. This original song is beautiful and it's just their voices, not even any beat boxing etc. Stunning.

You don't need words. The expression on your face says volumes. Don't worry- this song hit us all that same way. Probably right up there as the favorite of many of us Pentatonix fans. And I know that I get tears in my eyes more with Pentatonix songs than with any other group. They are just awesome! Thanks for the reaction.

You were correct about it being one of their older original songs, dating back to 2013 (the video is from 2014). You might recall from the outro of their "Daft Punk" video, Avi mentioned that people had been interested in covering "Run to You", and that they could download the sheet music from their website. It's an absolutely beautiful and moving piece of 5-part harmony (with Kevin joining in on the harmonies instead of beatboxing). A favorite of most Pentaholics.

This was the most awesome reaction to this song I have ever watched. Light In The Hallway, Imagine and Amazing Grace make me cry every time I hear them. I had to laugh when Pentatonix sang Run To You and your cat was running away from you! Thank you ❤

You actually listen to lyrics and this arrangement builds & builds to support the meaning. It’s beautiful & one of their best. This song is SOOOO hauntingly beautiful! 💖 Many high school and college vocal choirs perform this in concerts and vocal competitions now. Thank you Avi & Kevin & PTX! 💞 Also, check out Light In The Hallway. Written by Scott for his little nephew and lead sung by Avi at Scott's request. They usually do it live around 1 🎤 mic. Absolutely beautiful and much like this one. Enjoy! 😊

This is original. Another of their old originals that is one of my favorites is "Love Again". It's awesome!

I think you would also like the cover of Praying - it's a beautiful song that also pulls at your heart. I don't think there is a music video, maybe just audio - but well worth a reaction! - oh and another Avi original, Standing By - you asked about favourite songs, it's up there as my most favourite, and another very heartfelt song, showcasing Avi's beautiful voice. And another edit! Their original 'Thank You', such an emotional song, I would really recommend you react to, it's Scott's lead and he plays the piano, and it's oh so heartfelt.

There are some really good live versions of this

PTX has written several original songs including this song,they wrote The Baddest Girl,Love Again,Show you how to Love,Natural Disaster ,and their newest album is all original songs I've heard. 🙂so you were correct...this is an original song.🙂

This and their rendition of Amazing Grace are going to be played when my ashes are spread. I'm 71 and I've let my children know my wishes. My ashes will be spread in the Great Smoky Mtns National Park off the top of a mountain.

Avi & Kevin wrote this, and it's one of the most beautiful ballads ever written. When they perform this song live, they place one microphone directly on the floor, then stand around it singing, and the audience is completely silent. It's INCREDIBLY emotional.

There is one concert they performed at with Westboro protesting. You can hear them screaming in the background, PTX kept singing. It was so emotional, I’m tearing up remembering. You could see the turmoil but conviction in their performance. ☮️

Protesting against Scott & Mitch performing because they are both gay. I think you can see in their faces in the video how hard it is for them to carry on.

Appreciate the reaction, and despite no video, it just underscored the impact it had on you. This one of my favorite originals from them (So is Happy now, also awesome). Just as a note that many miss, When you watch Run to You again, note that on the repeated chorus of the song you can notice the flakes falling upwards (by reversing the video of the falling flakes, they all learned to lip sync those parts in reverse so they could get that to work.). In any event this reaction got my subscribe, thanks reckyj.

It's an Avi + Kevin song back when they were roommates. Avi was a choral studies and opera major in college. The most choral thing they ever did. A favorite with school choirs. Hey Recky, another beautiful original of theirs is "Light in the Hallway". I think you would really like it. Similar in its feel and beauty to this one.

Kevin is very religious and has strong beliefs. I had to hear this song many times to understand what his lyrics meant. My mind went in a different direction, but I can understand it. I cry every time with my own thoughts.

Those of us who are familiar with Avi's solo work hear his part in writing this song loud and clear. His innate ability to infuse songs with emotion and meaning comes from deep within, and has been fueled by his training in composition and arranging (and, in this piece, arranging assistance by Ben Bram). Check out this video, taken at an a cappella workshop back in 2017, where Avi is conducting this piece that means so much to him. Here's an example of the emotion and intimacy Avi is able to create in his songs. This one, "Full Moon", is one of my top favorites of his solo work. He does all the vocals you'll hear layered in, as well as the acoustic guitar. The orchestration that accompanies it all builds the drama of the piece. It's an original...and you are pausing WAY too much. I know you have to do it, but in this video it was excessive. Try putting an animated watermark over the video to prevent having to pause as frequently.

I love this one. It is one of my favorite Pentatonix performances / videos. Unfortunately thumbs down on the reaction because it was not well done. Operationally the video stopped playing and we only heard the audio and to have your phone go off during a reaction is just plain careless / unprofessional. Also there is nothing wrong with being emotional about a song. Too many guys are afraid to show their emotions. Better luck next time.
