As soon as I heard the Compton sheriffs division was involved, I thought "the BANDIDOS gang" is gonna start blasting. Yet they started acting like they forgot.

Simon says put your left hand up. Simon says put both hands on your head. -- Put your hands down. --- Nope, Simon didn't say that.

I am not trying to make fun of any police chases, but I was involved years ago in the slowest police chase in Australian history I think with a man who looked like he was at least 95 yrs old. He had absolutely no idea that I was behind him at all through some back streets. It ended up with even our District Inspector out there and he was found in the car park at Coles supermarket and had no clue what he had done wrong. He was truly a menace on the road, and his licence would have been taken from him. If it wasn’t so scary for others I would have been laughing, all over the road, just no situational awareness at all of where he was going.

These slow-speed chases are just an absolute joke and are pretty much simply TV entertainment for the L.A. television market. I used to live and work in that TV market and I promise you that there are usually about 9-10 helicopters in the air. 6-7 of them will be from the major network TV stations and there will be also 2-3 Police helicopters. One chopper will be following the suspect and the other 1-2 will be "air-traffic control" to keep the news helicopters from running into each other. It's an absolute circus and always strike me as "made for TV". It's like a fake KZread video getting "clicks"; the TV stations are just collecting "eyeballs".
