I've made this recipe a couple of times and it's become an instant favourite from Jerusalem. It's just such a forgiving, easy, cheap and delicious one pot meal. I couldn't get barberries or sour cherries so I used currants. The flavour might not quite match the original but I've been watching a lot of Ottolenghi Test Kitchen videos and if there's one lesson I've taken from them, it's that cooking is to be enjoyed. Don't stress. Be creative. You might find a recipe twist that you enjoy even more than the original! Thanks for sharing this conversation ♥️
Some pple might say its insane to chat about one recipe for almost 30min...I am not one of those people. This was insightful.
