It's so sad that 15 years later, with serious financial problems and in despair, he would take his own life.

I don’t believe that story for a second. Two champion boxers (Freddie mills & Randolph Turpin) kill themselves within a year of eachother both owing money to london gangsters. Not to mention boxing was very connected to organised crime back in those days and Randolph Turpin even wrote a letter saying gangsters had already made multiple attempts on his life.

@@Blank-km4qr Yes, Turpin typed a letter a couple of years before he died, implicating Jack Solomons. But on the day he died, a suicide letter was found in Turpin's handwriting and included details that only he would know. If Turpin was murdered it would mean that a hitman with an in depth knowledge of Turpin's marriage and his relationship with his siblings who could perfectly duplicate his handwriting (or had an accomplice with this information about Turpin's private life as well as remarkable skills of forgery), somehow managed to do the following: - enter Turpin's cafe and go upstairs without anyone noticing - shoot Turpin in the head and then the heart - attempt to kill Turpin's daughter because he *obviously* must have been worried that a 17 month old girl would be able to identify him to the police and then testify against him in court... - pin the 'forged' suicide note to the bedroom door - exit the cafe (again unnoticed) There's a good case for saying that Freddie Mills was murdered. There is *nothing* to suggest that Turpin's death was anything other than suicide.

@@ppuh6tfrz646 Turpin suicide note was typed out of a typewriter from what I heard. But if it was handwritten they could have held a gun to his daughter to write it, then shot her to make it look like he went mad. Turpin’s family all said that he wasn’t suicidal and loved his daughter. Finally this was back in the mid 60’s there was no CCTV and street lights were dim, it’s plausible to think that men could have gotten in without alerting anyone. Idk sounds very fishy to me.

@@thirstybonsai1888 Thank you. Was he a boxer? I looked him up online and there was nothing on the boxrec website. I only saw a memorial site for him. RIP Malcolm. If he was born in 1943 then he must have sparred with Turpin after his career was over. Is that right?
