Just a suggestion if you have to remove the new transmission. Once you unbolt the bell housing bolts drop the tail of the trans way down like 45° angle then swing the tail either to left or right so the bell housing is on an angle and it may drop down and go back up without having to cut and reweld . Not 100% sure but worth a shot . I've had to do this on a couple of tight fit mods.

Once you launch it should shift automatically at least it does for Steve Morris setup for his transmission it usually does not require you to touch it unless you wanted it that way he runs a massive wagon by the way
