MAN, I really thought I was on the right track with the throttle issue and then a massive curve ball got thrown at me. I'm in need of a new complete throttle assembly as its apparently one piece on my bike! It must be a factory upgrade or something on my bike, because the throttle I received with my parts was from a 2020 BMW S1000RR M... Luckily the new part is in next Tuesday but I'm bummed I wasn't able to share the first ride and cruising part of the video with y'all in this video! So sad to see the Panigale gone, those 3 bikes look so good next to each other in your garage, but I guess ya can't keep em all. I loved watching you guys lift it into his Ram truck though, thanks for that. I never would have thought that was possible. Now I know how easy it was for the guys that stole my CBR900RR 20 years ago! 🤬

You're right! The 3 bikes did look pretty killer next to each other! To be honest lifting the bike was actually really challenging, cause its HEAVY! We barely got it in the back of the truck and it was funny when he pulled up and the truck was lifted 🤣 I was like, "o my goodness, how in the world are we going to get this beast in there" Sorry to hear your bike was snatched! Sometimes rebuilding them can be as fun as riding them. You definitely get a feeling of accomplishment when they are finished. I’ve done a lot of them in the past and every time I’m done it felt great. It’s always hard to get rid of them after because you grow some attachment to them especially when they come out mint. Your so close to be finished! Congrats

Good job on the bike. While not cost efficient or practical, you gained experience, like you mentioned, but also a bunch of content for tour channel. 👍 It has to feel good to finish it. I am picking up my new M Sport in a week or so. Ordered it in early June.

@@CJMediaOfficial Yup, it was in the main hub for all BMW dealers in the US. It has left the hub and should arrive at dealer this week. I have to drive to Chicago from St. Louis to go get it. Hoping to do that early next week. Hoping Tuesday. 👍

Love the mirrors. Not a huge fan of the turn signals of I may be honest…just looks a bit too “stuck on” as opposed to integrated. But that’s just an opinion and still a lovely bike and video 👌🏼

Thank you John! To be complete honest myself, those turn signals were the best option I could find and I had to have turn signals to be legal on the street. I found some that are actually integrated into the BMW logo on the fairings which was sick! but they were $$. Cheers sir!

Hi CJ, nice to know you and follow your wreck bike rebuilt.. im doing the same business here in Malaysia.. for the total rebuilt cost, you can make it low by purchase 2 identical wreck bike with different type of accident (frond end + rear end) then you decide which bike are the best one to rebuilt and which one are the donor bike.. and left over parts from the donor bike you can keep for the next rebuild project or sell it as used parts.. for the donor bike you can purchase scrap title so it will be more cheaper.. sad about the panigale but thats business, we gain experience and money.. cant wait for your next project bike.. keep going brother..

It’s surprising how much the auctions can get for these wrecked bikes (and cars for that matter). You’re doing your builds perfectly, but the people looking to turn profits on these rebuilds must be cutting corners somewhere to cover time spent. As for a recommendation on a new build, how about a cafe racer? I used to take damaged bikes and get creative with low cost builds. Can’t wait for the next videos.

Thank you Michael! Unfortunately that's the "dark side" of the auction world. People trying to make a quick buck however possible. You either have to get smoking deals or have a part-out business to really make profit "Most of the time". I'm not a huge fan of the older style bikes like café racers but I wouldn't be apposed to doing a rebuild like that in the future!! Cheers sir

I was right! Said it in the first video you'd be near if not at the price of a new one. This'll be a bike you want to keep forever, if sold you'd lose too much with the rebuilt title. Also, that's crazy how your state does the inspections! When I rebuilt my Gen5 Zx10r in GA you're expected to trailer the vehicle the inspection place and they do it there.

Litterally and physically lol. well my first inspection I did the exact same as you but then afterwords I became good friends w the inspector and He offered to come to my place in the morn before he starts his official work day and do my inspections for me. Seriously such a nice gentlemen and officer. He always asks me about the Yt and the viewers Lolol

Good work on your channel. I've spent the last 5 years rebuilding crashed late model bmw's. In Australia its really hard to make a profit and it is cheaper to buy parts from kfm in germany, where you dont pay sales tax. Actually, if you priced my time I would have lost out on all bikes

Totally agree with you on experience not being bought. I just had a drink & discussion with a friend. He doesn't agree with DIY's when someone else of higher skill could do it for him. I let him be. I just agreed to disagree. Some people just wanna be riders as opposed to being mechanics or specialists. 🤷
