That big ole rust spot is usually about the middle of travel where the PS piston rod is at when the wheels are straight. Most of the time you’re driving straight as opposed to being in a turn so more wear occurs there than anywhere else on the piston rod, or so I’ve been told.

Your videos are really great. Is there actually a video about the gear hydraulic pump from the Ford 4000

Been waiting on this video, just need parts numbers to rebuild mine on F901 prapane tractor my uncle bought new Cly leaks a tad but the control unit leaks pretty bad now Would you list the kits and those springs??

I need other kit to reseal my unit, box on shaft is leaking and I used my last kit on my other tractor a few years ago

Good job ! I did this rebuild about 4 years ago. I would be interested in where you found all of the rplecement parts

Thank you. The only parts that were replaced were the seals, cylinder rod, and spool valve. The seals were just over the counter parts and valve and cylinder rod were custom made at local machine shops. Everything else is original.

Fuel filter assembly is original to tractor. Dont know of any reproduced or aftermarket market ones. The filter is a napa gold 3165.

Mine leaks on my 900 . It drips out end with ball joint and tie rod end?. What causes that.

The cup seals on the ends of the spool valve will cause that leak.
