Now I know why it's so expensive to get machine work done. It's truely an art.

Never had a machine shop go to this level of cleaning. Great work man. I wish everyone cared about what they do as much as you
It’s amazing how small of a pit caused the vacuum to fail. Great video

No lie but one human hair in the valve seat and you'll have a valve that doesn't seal anymore. It's that important to be accurate.
From a 43 year master tech and shop foreman, excellent workmanship and beautiful results! So much more precise and duplicatable vacuum sealing than say old Sioux vibrocentric stone grinding! Many props to you and your father. You're both living the dream!

Yes I agree 😎 I've used the old Sioux setup.... Nice work indeed...
I’m a automotive tech of almost 19 years. I’ve sent many heads and some blocks to all different machine shops. Straight truth, you do Top Notch work. By far the top 3 I’ve ever seen if not the best. I never had a chance to have your work in my hands but I can tell you do great work. I truly appreciate it, Im kind of OCD about all my work. Lol I’m such a torque nazi on certain things. Not brackets and stuff like that. I even torque valve covers and every spark plug that I do. My general manager has mint condition 97 BMW 540i that he loves. He had the valve covers done countless times due to oil leaking. About 6-7 years ago I did them and they are still dry as a bone. About 3-4 months ago I had to do his water pump. He came into the shop to see how it was going. He then asked me what did I do to keep the valve covers from leaking after a year or two. I told him, more then likely cause I torqued the valve cover to spec. Lol he instantly called the whole shop to a meeting and said I want all valve covers torqued for now on. It’s simple things like that makes a big difference. And it only takes 5 or so minutes more.

Hi I'm going to change all the valve guide, valve spring and new valve seat on my bike. My question is is it necessary to change all intake and exhaust valve aswell? Can't i just reuse the titanium exhaust valve after spec the condition of the valve?
I can remember watching my grandfather putting valve keeps in with a flat blade screw driver and grease. Love the channel. Great work!

Agreed, as an entrepreneur myself running a service company that repairs and maintain alot of different cnc, edm, and other machines. Blueprinting, double checking and cleanliness goes very far and lastly, stay proud of your work!
many moons ago i was taught valve seating / cutting on a Peterson Bench Mill . was so happy to hear that pop at the end when i bounced the valve off the seat . hand trimming and polishing was a skill i also was taught ! love your channel
Mate with this level of crafmanship you just cant be cocky, you absolutely nailed those valves and heads.
Bro man... I would so send my stuff to you for some work. It’s so dam hard to find a shop worth the trust here in my city.

I'm a CNC machinist. and I just started watching these videos of machining the heads and seating the valve stems. and I can't stop binge watching these type of videos. good job guys. it is an art. great job.
I like the diversity of engines you guys work on.
I love how you go the extra mile and clean up the edge left by the cutter. I once asked my machinist (now ex) to blend in the machine, but they said it'd be too difficult 🥲 Nice work and keep it up!
Those came out great and I'm sure the customer was incredibly pleased with their shiny restored heads.
It's been many years since I've done much machine work but it's obvious to me you guys do an excellent job in every respect and seem to really care. I witnessed in one of your other videos how important customer service is within your company which is half of any successful business. Love the videos and keep up the awesome work! 👍👍👍
Very in depth with the cutters and process of creeping up to the intake/out take tunnels. Great work thanks
Started an apprenticeship, everything seemed pretty straight forward until I got to the valve seats. We do a lot of irrigation applications and N series seats cut like ass. Not to mention how hard it is for me to see the top angle start to come in. I really appreciate your content, it’s helped me a ton.

What valve seat machine are you running? Do you use any coolant/cutting fluid? Can help on really hard seats if you’re fighting chatter

Thank you for sharing this
Man that’s the type of work and dedication I look for when I sent out a head to be refurbished . You almost got me to purchase some used heads so you can rebuild them for me ! Where are you guys located ? Thanks for the informative video..

Nice head work. Haven't done anything like this since HS shop class with VICA 75/76. I'm sure you didn't need to take any classes with Pops around but wonder how he got his start. Thanks again, nice work. I have a 97 Land Cruiser that I want to freshen up and want the head gone over like this.

Great video thank's 👍
Beautiful work mate keep it up👍😀
Well presented vid
Great job from Australia 🇦🇺 👍🏻
Amazing hope we can see an Rb build one day
This is beautiful
Good thing people have sentimental attachments to those Subi's because the machine work to keep them going it intense. Just getting them sealed up is very specific. Doable but a lot of people mess it up sometimes directly causing another failure.
If your charging for a cleaning job ( or anything for that matter ), better make it worth it! The most honorable thing ever said in the automotive industry. I love this channel, it’s starting to make me wonder if I can enter into the trade.
Great video
You are an artist
Awesome content, keep it up 👍
Job well done !
That glass feed could be satisfying video. I hope you make you one bro

Nice!!
POP!!
Just had this same thing done on my W25 ej257 heads. Was struggling to find a machine shop (dont have any within a 2 hour radius). Ended up having to travel to get this done. Exact same work in this video, ran me just shy of $700 to have done
You need to get a tumble polisher for the valve springs! Takes all the rust off
It's awesome very interesting video. Cheers man 👍
