The heat this year has been hell on every thing and every one It’s been slow since nothing growing and it’s fine with me Chainsaws are coming in now and I’m only working till noon until it cools off
It's either rebuild it or put on another engine on the John Deere mower you did what you thought was best for this mower
Where’s the oil or STP or assembly lube on the parts???

One o five lube is what I still use for 63 years 😊
Hi, Good video! How much did you pay for all parts?
You need to clean up the fly wheel, it's rusty. Also new coil packs would help.
Torque specs and assembly lube must be optional now.

Don’t need fancy lube, just motor oil It’s a new fad for kids to buy the crap
Is there anything that can be done with the engine to give it better performance? Not racing performance, just improve it. have a riding mower, with out the mower parts so it is strictly a little work horse and basic around town transport
I would clean up the flywheel and coils..... will have a better spark !!!

I might do that👍👍
Did you inspect the crank did you check it for nicks or scratches cause if it’s fit any of that your wasting your money and time putting it back together cause it won’t run long and the amount of debris that was in the crankcase I wouldn’t put nothing together until I checked out the crank for any issues it might possibly have

Now I remember why I don’t make videos for the public Just for friends and family
It does crank over, just doesn't start. Aren't you concerned about burning up starter with those long crank overs.
You could use break clean and fix your hone with epoxie and continue. Don't waste you time and money. This has happen to me. Be smart my friends.
Not a good video for others to follow. There’s many flaws for one thing you used no oil or assembly lube. The Rings are going to score that cylinder wall as soon as the engine starts! The piston pin should’ve been lubed and the connecting rod bores should’ve been lubed. All of that does not lube quick when the engine first starts! You’re gonna do quite a bit of damage when that motor runs for the very first time! Torque specs should’ve been adhered to. It’s kind of sad to spend money on new parts and end up doing damage to them on the first start up! The ring gaps should also be equally spaced. Next time read and follow the instructions!
