As an late 70s early 80s kid saw punk in our hometown always bit wary 😂, wondered what happened to them all, years since seen a proper spike hair punk so they do still exist.

As a old punk (60) it does my heart well seeing it still alive, Keep on keeping on my brother

Gosh it's soon crept round again, I remember last years videos. I always love seeing the punk fashion and the colourful mowhawks at rebellion. Less policing needed for the punks in comparison to events like young farmers. Great video Stephen

I was up there today Stephen, looks like around the time you were there, I bet we passed each other as I walked back up to see “Busking Joe”, a few of the punks that were there in the video were there when I was, it was a little busier too, I’d passed him as he was setting up as I was parked further up. I couldn’t make it last year as Brazilica Samba Festival in Liverpool was on on the Saturday, same this year and I can’t manage both so close at the minute. So, the time before that it was on would have been 2019 as 2020/21 it wasn’t on due to Lockdown and it seemed a lot busier then, seen a few faces from 2019 today that I’d taken photos of too.

whats parking like for visiting blackpool? if I jump in the (medium sized) camper and pop over this week to do the lights and wanted to make it a 2 / 3 day visit how would i do it?

You can park on the promenade free from 8pm-8am. If you want to stay off the promenade, the car park next to the Savoy Hotel at Gynn Square is popular for campers. There is also the coach & camper van car park at Central, which you can see on my Hibs Football come to Blackpool video.

Not helped by not being able to walk long distances but if I can park say upto 2 miles out southwards then I can cycle the rest, and even cycle the lights..... (Lez, really relay camping)
