Slowly, your creativity, or imagination and happiness begins to drain in middle school through high school. After graduation, you and your friends went different ways to enter a new chapter in your life. Because of this comment, I let you picture your childhood memories, your throwbacks, and for sure we had fun till it lasted. We should keep these memories and past it down to our children and tell them how we had fun than being our gadgets 24/7..

I'm in Middle school and I still have imagination and all of that stuff but- people call me childish for my age- and me and my friends still play nerf wars and all of that! And I still believe in magic and that stuff yet I miss elementary,is that why people call me childish, I'm just being my self. I hope it stays like this. I love being a child

I just finished watching the series today. I’ve been dealing with years of unchecked trauma. I felt so comfy but so alone while BMO was singing. I lost a childhood to being forced to grow up fast. Violated by adults. Losing friends to violence or just life changing and pulling us apart. Holidays are beginning to feel more like regular days. Just empty. But this song makes me feel like I can cry and not be punished for it. Cry about everything. I want to give my younger self a hug, apologize to her for not speaking up earlier, and just go about the rest of my life doing my best until my adventure ends. I’m scared, but I accept the inevitable. Thank you Pendleton Ward.

It’s ok to cry, and if you want to you should. It’s also ok to be scared. We grew/are growing up in a completely different world than what our parents prepared us for. I hate you (or anyone) had to live through that. Now you have the chance to be the person you needed when you were young. I hope you find healing and peace one day and you are absolutely not alone.

Hey, you don't have to apologize to yourself for not speaking up sooner. Trauma is never your fault, especially when you are a kid. I hope you have happiness now, and if certain holidays feel empty to you, find new holidays. Celebrate days the sun is out. Celebrate the fireflies. Celebrate the first snow of the year or the nights there are rings around the moon. Create a world for yourself that makes you comfortable. You are loved and appreciated. You are worthy of happiness.

I had no idea until recently that this was a live recording. The people in the audience whistling sound like bird sounds, the baby crying at the end sounds like it was meant to be there. Honestly such a beautiful recording

Just lost my best friend Duke. My "Jake". He was with me for 13 years. When I got him I was stil basically a boy. He was with me through all of my life's major moments. He was big, and kind, and fun-loving, and had such an amazing personality. My wife and I loved him so very much and as much as our hearts are breaking now, we feel so grateful for the special time we spent together. We have so many memories. We'll always be back then.

Honestly, everyone keeps saying how comforting this song is but for me I have to hold back tears, it's a very melancholy feel. I don't understand why this is.

I keep coming back to this song of late. It's been stuck in my head because I've been thinking about the people I have lost. They didn't pass but the version of them I knew from a young age died. I just miss hanging out and laughing but when I realize that we are not kids anymore and that we have grown apart it hurts. This song comforts that pain because they will remember the fun we had as well :)

You were not there like i was for my cat i had him given to me at the age of 2 years old. He died when i was 19 to this day i remember digging the hole for his grave it took 3 hours and it was the worst i cried 3 times.

Yesterday morning my dog Max died at the age of 13. he was the first dog me and my siblings had from the time he was a puppy up until the day he died of old age. He was my best friend for so long and we were inseparable. he was always at my side whether i was up in my room or downstairs in the kitchen and living room. whenever i would leave the house he’d howl for me until i came home, and sitting here during my first night without him all i can do is cry for him too. i would give anything to go back in time and do it all again even if times were really bad. he was there with us through it all. you and I will always be back then Max.

@@therealsteveharveyx2299 I’m so sorry about your loss too, it’s so heartbreaking when they aren’t around anymore😞 It’s been getting a little better, I still cry about him most days, especially after a bad day, but I try to keep moving forward even if the walk is heavy. I see him in my dreams often, which has helped. i hope you’re feeling better about your friend too, I hope you’re able to get closure because it does really hurt so much. We’ll see them again some day. don’t know where exactly, but we’ll see them. that’s the thought that keeps me going:)

This shows how music can be such a huge factor in our lives. Everyone in the comments are showing their feelings and sharing what has happened to them and how this song changed them. Everyone is so supportive here and this makes me so happy to see that music touches me the same as it touches others to this day. And I feel like there should be more music and people like this in the world.

"It seems unforgiving when a good thing ends." That line hits so hard. This song reminds me of Technoblade. Even months later, I can't help but find myself crying. If I could go back in time, I would go and cherish him more. You don't realize how much you miss something until it's gone. He was taken way too soon. He may be gone, but he's not forgotten. May he rest in peace. We love you Techno 😔💖👑

I always prefer to listen to Rebecca sing this because it just seems so much more genuine Edit: Little did I know when I wrote this that this would be the first song I heard after my best friend killed herself. It's most definitely the only thing I think of when I hear it. I miss her every day but Rebecca's voice soothed me. I realized I want to live in her memory. I'm starting my first job tomorrow and it's so fucking scary. I've never done this before and I am petrified. It feels like I won't be able to and it's a big step for growing up for me. I'm 18 and working sounds overwhelming. Especially during this pandemic, my social skills and mental skills have been rocky for a while. I'm just scared I'll mess this up. This song used to make me so sad all of the time, but I like it a lot. It's more of a calming bittersweet feeling now and it's helping me relax. This is great

How is it going for you?

I was struggling with really bad anxiety a few months ago and then I started watching adventure time as some sort of therapy. I have finished the final episode today and I've been crying for the past hour or so. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to watch this show and Im so grateful for these characters. I don't know if there will ever be another show for me wich makes me feel such catjartic emotions. I am so happy for this experience,thank you adventure time,thank you for the ride

Yo I am a grown ass man who never grew up with adventure time but this is beatiful. I don't know why but nothing has moved me this much in a very long time. I love this feeling, life is beatiful.

This make me cry a lot, i cry a lot today and this just, *sobs* I remember watching Adventure Time with my brothers and sister, even my grandma, we'll laugh and cry together. And now my brothers too busy, and one even start to hating me, while my sister herself is depressed. My grandma? She's in a better place..

Something yes! it’s so good, and episodes are only about 10 minutes per episode :) it gets more serious and emotional during the last season, but the entire thing is good.

@@migueldominguez1171 Thank you, Miguel. I appreciate that very much. I sat next to her yesterday - holding her hand talking about family. Finally I just started to sing Time Adventure and Everything Stays, while I cried. She was always my rock, but now she's so helpless.

My cat recently died. I’ve had her since childhood and she was always very dear to me. This hits hard, but it’s so soothing and comforting. I miss her, but she’ll always be in my heart ❤

Interesting how Rebecca sings ‘That’s why’ at the end whereas in the actual episode it’s ‘and so’

I’m crying because of this song, so much has been changing in my life and it’s so hard and I can barely take it anymore, this song was written by someone who helped made staples of my happiness through childhood. It reminds of me the happy times but also helps me let go in a way, it’s a stunning goodbye song. Thank you Rebecca.

I don't take this song from adventure time I take it personally with my own problems. I've recently had to stop being friends with my best friend for life that I've had since I was 5 and it really hurts because I thought I'd always have my friend. cause you know the sentence "you and I will always be bestfriends" isn't true but that's what I thought. the friendship would happen then it was happening for half of my life now it happened. I never thought I'd stop making those moments to hang on the wall but I have to remember that her and I would always be bestfriends back then so I'm just glad that I got to have that time with her. I'm proud of our moments hung up on the wall. It truly was a time adventure

I think you're missing the point of the song. Time is an illusion that helps things make sense. So we are always living in the present tense. In other words. If some amazing force could bring you back in time ("happened"). That's where you and her are still best friends. Even though it's not the case today, you and your best friend will always be "back then". That's why, you and her will always be best friends.

I am grieving my grandpa's passing, and am struggling with how I can't make new memories with him anymore. Sometimes, he'd call me a pessimist, but at least now, I'm really developing a optimistic outlook on things. And this song really helps. Because we'll always be happening, back then.

Adventure Time was such an amazing show, and for so many reasons. It helped us see the world through the eyes of a maturing teen and how the life he had would never be the same. It taught us about darkness and destruction, light and rebirth. It taught us how to grow up. The comedy, romance, and overall beauty of it is just mesmerizing. I have never related so much to a cartoon. This is, by far, one of the most wonderful things I have ever experienced. You and I will always be back then. 💖

Look our characters growth up. It was amazing. Watch when they was a child to eighteens.

This song never fails to make me cry. It reminds me of my old best friend. He was by my side through it all. No matter what separated us throughout life, we always somehow found our way back to each other and it was back to how things were. He stopped being my friend because I got into a relationship and I miss our friendship sometimes but I guess that’s how life is.

I feel so glad I got to experience this for eight years. It inspired me when was 9 and it has become my biggest inspiration when doing to art school at 17 Thank you, Adventure Time❤

Goodbye bestfriend. My childhood dog passed away 3 y ago and i still miss her so much. I don't know if im just egoist or what but i just wanted her to watch me growing up and become an adult, she died 5 months before my 18's birthday and it's hurt so much. 3y after I still miss her so much like the first day without her with me. During the first year I continued to hear her as if she were there, like phantom sounds, but she never reappeared. She's my bestfriend and my emotional support. Thank you Callie for these 16 years spent with you, thank you for allowing me to hold on when things were going badly and when I couldn't speak.

never fails to make me cry. my oldest sibling loved this song and they recently died. i sang it for them at their memorial because i never truly understood this song until they were gone

I didn't watch adventure time growing up because I got nightmares easily, so my mom banned it. Later, October 2018, I watched it, up to the island episodes episode 1 of those, then I was unable to continue. I got the opportunity 3 days ago to finish it and I have 2 episodes left. I don't know how it's possible it'll end in 2 episodes, so much is happening, they're about to go to war.. It is indeed an amazing show, and an amazing adventure to be a part of.

100th thumbs up and I will admit that there were some scary bits in the show, like the imagery, but other than that, it's an amazing show and I pity anyone who couldn't or wouldn't watch it. Congratulations on watching the show finally.

The fact that steven ended now as well.. Man all my shows are done now. Gravity falls, Adventure time, Regular Show, and now Steven too. I guess i still had something before Steven ended so it felt okay. Now that all of this are finished, it hits much harder. Lets just face it this cartoons ended, we all grew up. We're not kids anymore and that okay. But is okay to cry as well. Just let it all out i will. Dont cry cuz it ended. Cry cuz it changed you for better. We can all change for the better or for the worse this people showed me how to change for the better. And i hope us fans we can still feel the love for many years and come back to this shows whenever we want to. Cuz things happened, are happening and will happen. ❤😭😭😢🥺 I forgot to put Gumball in... Just rewatched and officially finished adventure time. As soon as BMO started singing this I instantly just started crying. I felt like I just sat down and started talking with this song and I was able to just let all my feelings out without being judged. This is my comfort song from now on. Thank you Rebecca Sugar🧡💙
