@@BlueDrakk they basically have this part of the story in which the various eorzean leaders are forced to face the fact that the shitty actions of their nations were the reason why the beast people were summoning primals in the first place and that it was justified for the beast people to be scared and react to protect themselves, and the leaders have to own up to that and apologize to ensure a lasting peace as well as cooperation between them and humans. they basically force the leaders to recognize that the whole primals problem was a mess of their own making and they can't just blame the beast people and act like humans were just innocent victims in all of it.

I actually just came back to the game! Took a few months off, got some patch msq I can catch up on, some raids, new relics, life's good. Yoshi-P was right. Taking time off is great.

I picked G'raha for that scene and have no regrets. He is FFXIV's Samwise Gamgee and I'd rather have him as my wingman over anyone else.

An MMO is not a religion , you can quit or return when you want it. That is very different when you ban forever a company like blizzard for products that don't have fun.

Love the game too much to ever really quit tbh, I'll take long breaks and come back, but there's a lack of great MMOS for me to quit XIV and move onto something else.

Mmm after looking at criterion dungeon and how they slaughter old dungeons, I went from having a break to permanent quit. But hey you do you and can continue to act like you speak for everyone else.

One of the reasons Ginger Prime listed as a reason he was quitting FFXIV was to 'focus more on family'. He said this in the same video in which he said he was going to be playing New World instead. I dunno, dude just seems full of crap, but maybe that's just me.

Final fantasy 14 still popping. I play it everyday and there are tons of groups and players in the cities. Even the old areas still get lots of traffic. Game is far from dead lol. Super fun to play right now. Music 20 out of 10.

The only thing I’m disappointed in is that Asmongold stopped right before he was about to hit his first Ultimate. I really wanted to see him jump into an Ultimate with his typical huge ego, thinking he’d beat it just a few hours, only to inevitably wipe on the first phase for hours then ragequit the game altogether as he goes on another one of rants crying that “wahh! MMO raiding is horribly designed because I CANT WIN!!” 😭😭😭

I think for me and my partner after we got too the end of every msq end we’d go level up crafters max out our current gear as best we wanted then probably unsub for a month or two , play some other games do some other shit and then the call comes and we sub again , a bunch of our FC do the same but will usually all return for the new content and everything is busy again

lol i never really cared about him hating on ffxiv, i just like asmon content, even if he shits on my game.

I became one of those players who log in for new MSQ, level all jobs to max then quit the game until the new expansion.

I'm playing their old MMO because I was curious. There's a whole 33 people online! Wow!

Ok, the I replayed Dark Souls 2 into immediately uninstalling it got me.

The guy who left to play new world is the most BASED guy ever he wanted to play less games as he has multiple kids and his reason for playing new world are paid promotion and real world trading to get best gear faster he used leaving ffxiv as a ploy but his views died long ago as he was not a good player.

Oof asmon only does FFXIV reacts if people are leaving the game now. Feelsbadman

He didn't actually, they just edited out him searching for it for some reason. Can be seen on his clips channel though, the video's titled cat ears make girls look hotter or something like that.

The game is designed to be completed and returned to. I don't feel any sense of FOMO when missing things on FFXIV and it takes a relatively short amount of time to do everything when it comes to an MMO. I only played for a few months and I got through ARR to Shadowbringers. Got 9/20 of the jobs to level 90 and all crafting/gathering jobs to level 90. Did this with mostly just dailies, and that was all I was doing for a couple months of it. Someone who actually went to grind zones and did other stuff probably could have maxed everything with a little more play time and finished Endwalker.

They wont ever give Black Mage a res ability because of triplecast. OP

I quit because it just became a parse simulator, same reason I quit WoW. Enjoying GW2 for the WvW and a sprinkle of raiding without competing on the meters (yet). Definitely coming back for the story though when the next expac drops

I have never play New World so I can't really tell whether its better than ff14 or not but I believe ff14 is one of the best mmorpg I've ever played in this decade. I wish he just take a break instead announcing quit but that's his choice and who knows he might come back after awhile.

I have and I can tell you with absolute certainty that its not. Its incredibly buggy and janky. Not quite as bad as the new pokemon game but in the same ballpark.

I went back to wow. I tried final Fantasy the problem was ui issues understanding the game and haveing to deal between platform issues . Maybe i shoulda just played on pc rather than playstation. Probably would have been better.

Why is it that every time someone stops playing a game for a while, they are "quitting" the game? As if they are required to play it everyday, all the time.

FF14 player here and what I do everyday after work is go up and do the daily tribe quest and log off. Waiting for the live letter for patch 6.3. Than open Undecember and pop the fk out, 150 hrs into the game already. FF14 can wait the content won't disappear and you can catch up gear easily.

I love FF14's storyline, but I never got into any group play. So I didn't play after I finished the storyline.... But if I joined a guild and made some new friends, ngl I would play it daily.

I joined one and I have no idea how the people even beat the story, not a single one of them even knew you had to look away from the eye mechanic and these people were level 90. But I don’t know how to find people who wanna do end game stuff without playing 10 hours a day I only have a few if even that so it kinda sucks

The main reason I don't watch twitch anymore is the asinine conversations where Asmon or other creators have to explain basic mathematics or statistics to monkeys. That being said, I am sure a lot of people who play/are subbed do so because they will lose their lottery housing if they unsub. It is the main reason I didn't get a house when I moved to the new Oceanic data centre, because I unsubbed about a month later.

I kinda wish Endwalker WOULD be the end and they'd start A Realm ReReReReborn 2 in a timeline leap.

Ironically, I also recently put my FFXIV sub on ice to play New World. FFXIV is a great game, but it's mainly due to the storyline. The rest of the systems are pretty old-fashioned and out of date for a modern audience. Not to say they're bad, but I prefer MMOs with more modern combat and exploration. I'm sure I'll be back to FFXIV eventually, but it's not worth paying a sub for something I'm not going to play regularly.

Here’s a reason to quit, you finished the game and now you want to play something else, lol. But really though, you can play any game however much you want, whenever you feel like, that’s the beauty of them. I played FF14 up to the end of heavensward in the free trial, then called it good since that was the story I wanted to play through. Now I’m done, unless they extend the trial farther which I’d love to see happen. So yeah, it’s ok to be done with a game, and just play what you want.

On the annual upcoming releases list for SE, they had "Stormblood" listed as coming out TBA, and the only reason they'd be putting that there is if they were expanding it into the free trial, so that'll likely be sooner than you'd expect 👀

I play it on Steam. Mostly because I was short-sighted at the time and thought, "Well, since physical copies of games aren't really a thing anymore, I guess I might as well just buy this on Steam." Fortunately, I've had very little trouble with the Steam version over the years.

I'll take my break once I max out the omicron tribe.

There are too many mmorpgs that I play so for me it's about what game is the funnest for me and preference. I have ff but I don't ever play it. Don't have the time for it when I'm playing all these other ones. Same thing goes for wow. Because they're monthly subs and I'll play like 2-3 days that whole month and waste my money

I started playing FFXIV around 2013. I've been into Final Fantasy games my whole life, also into MMOs since I played Guild Wars (was to broke for WoW back in the day.) I quit playing this game a little after Shadowbringers was released. I still think it's a good game, I put a lot of time into the game and I am happy with the experiences I had with my FC and my irl buddies. With the influx of new players and also older player becoming more vocal about how they would like others to perceive the game i realized that the game isn't made for me anymore. It's inevitable that the game will change and I can't hold it against them for developing the game further.

There's no telling unless you try it yourself. I value gameplay above all else, so for me XIV was a huge nope.

My #1 reason to stop playing is the account activation process. It’s easier to apply for asylum in the United States, and to activate your account.
