He went on today and explained what he’s dealing with and apologized for his words and actions from yesterday. People in his chat were really pushing him to get mad too. He had a good stream but this escalated at the end from people who aren’t even normally in his community.

Nuh uh. I love Pyro - he's one of my favorite streamers - but this kind of thing, losing his temper and being incredibly rude to his chat, is NOT a one-off thing. He's done it repeatedly. It's not just having an off day and getting baited by trolls, and it's disingenuous to claim this is all that's happening here. He gets triggered and lashes out when people disagree with him. He does it all the time.

Pyromancer gets derailed by so much as a pebble on his track. I like him when he is playing and interacting with the content, he cares and is engaged. It is a positive experience when he is positive. But the moment one random nobody says something easily ignorable he will just focus in on it and not let it go for far too long. I literally mute and tab for 20-30 minutes when that happens. He also seems to think chat is a person. He asks a question but does not understand that chat has a delay and is full of thousands of people with different latencies, so he will tell them to stop answering. I almost want to bring these kinds of gripes up as constructive criticism but don't out of a genuine concern it would just get me banned. I think he said he used to work at BestBuy before getting into streaming and when I think about that I imagine he would be the most miserable boss to work under if you fuck up or rub him the wrong way even the slightest.

One of the tags in his Twitch stream is 'ADHD' which makes me think it's not really something he can help. It's like his instinct to win an argument and be combative is inherently incompatible with streaming in front of thousands of people at a time. I also found myself too uncomfortable to continue watching his streams during the Endwalker MSQ, and had to wait for VODs so I could skip over what became 40-50min arguments with chat over things I perceive as petty but obviously he doesn't. At the end of the day, it's his stream and his rules and you have to respect that. I just hope he is conscious of how he comes off as and how that may affect viewers in the long term. This is his job now.

The problem with Pyromancer, is that while it was entertaining at first you slowly find out he has genuine anger issues. I can't speak to what's going on in his life and I won't pretend HURR DURR STREM MONEY makes a sad person happy. It's just that this has happened, and happened, and happened and will happen. Pyromancer is also frequently enough at fault for just being a dickhead to people because he got angry at himself. He did the 2nd Trial in Endwalker with fans instead of with NPCs. Folks used the sad emoji because they thought the haha funny lore man would want to see the characters from the story interact. I believe he was short with them and tossed out an insult. What happened after though, was that he got super pissed at wiping on the trial and would constantly berate and insult the people in the group with him. Even a Healer that hit Rescue to pull him out of a mechanic he was standing in got the baby rage. The worst part about all this, is people constantly mention how they used to follow him and his content but left. I left too. It happens too often and his anger is too severe. When that happens, you can bet all he'll have watching are annoying people that love to see him get angry who will fuck with him until he does. Toxicity will breed itself in any community and if you want to have a meltdown frequently and laugh at or insult people off hand, expect your audience to love it and reciprocate. Dude had a gamer moment posing a question about people on console whether they prog Savage or not in an intentionally belittling way, over fucking hardware of all things. The guy is a man-child sometimes. Pyro needs therapy.

The fact a grown man yells at people typing to him in a chat is pathetic. Asmon goes off on people, but he doesn't raise his voice. When you start raising your voice in a stream (of all places), people are going to get put off by you and not respect you. Asmon generally just makes the perpetrator look like a fool. I liked watching Pyro, but stopped after he told everyone he was purposefully dropping ads during key moments to encourage people to sub. I had been subbed his whole journey through the MSQ, but his want to purposefully make the experience worse for free viewers really irked me. I get random ads hitting at inopportune times, or throwing a number of ads during a break, but purposefully hitting them at specific moments to manipulate your audience doesn't sit right with me. It speaks volumes to the type of person he is and his thankfulness to the community feels fake as a result. There was one time I was watching on my TV via the app not logged in(I think he was doing antitower) and I was pretty much cursing twitch for randomly putting ads at the most exciting times(Start of the dungeon, beginning of each boss fight, any point it changed location and he was taken back by the spectacle), now I realize he was hitting it himself and I feel dirty.

I used to watch Pyro until a few years back he did a video saying how his parents who he lived with were being evicted and they couldn't afford the rent. His next stream he was given thousands of Dollars in donations along with loads of bits, subs, gift subs and Prime subs for which he was thankful for and moved to tears multiple times. A week or two later he was unboxing new art prints, books and other merch. He stated that it was stuff pre-ordered before his video mentioned above when called out by viewers. Personally, I found it hard to believe all the items were not cancelable/refundable and all happened to arrive at the same but I didn't call it out. Many others did and the guy flipped out at the stream, it wasn't the first time I'd seen him be so toxic to his viewers but it was the last. I un-subbed to him on Twitch, Twitter and KZread. Pyro will lose his shit and not even know what he's gonna say in the next second. Words just come out of his mouth with no filter, while simultaneously insulting the people who give him his living. While he has some points, you can tell he's just saying some things because he's pissed off and doesn't fully believe them. At some point you realize that you can't change the mind of someone who doesn't argue using logic and reason, and you also realize that the vast majority of negative shit comes from people who wouldn't ever dream of acting the same irl. In a sense, they're not real people. Because real people irl don't act like these clowns do online. And because of this, there's no reason why anyone should take them seriously. Early on I subbed to his stream, but saw him go off in a way that absolutely ruined his stream. He was acting like a child. He decided he was going to punish chat by logging out just to prove that his server didn't have a queue time, and then... got stuck in a 30 minute queue. He apologized and blamed issues in his life. I know it. I've been where he's at. I've raged at things, and felt spiteful, and have at time had anger issues that I've worked for years on. So I understand. But I also don't try and make a living off of entertaining a live audience where that shit is simply unacceptable. So after he apologized I didn't resub but still had him on follow and would watch from time to time. And he went off again and at that point I stopped entirely. And now hearing that he's gone off AGAIN it doesn't even surprise me anymore. He needs to get that shit under control since he's decided this is going to be his full time career and source of income. You don't go off and "punish" the people who are literally paying your salary - that's fucking insane. And then he blames everybody for how not cool it is for attacking his livelihood - too late dude, stop hitting yourself. If you can't handle hecklers and naysayers at all, this isn't the longterm career for you - the bigger you get the more clowns are going to want to mess with you. He was right about it being unimportant lol, but like... those people donate because they like his content. They like that he pays attention and treats the game seriously; I'm sure they could've waited a moment for him to get to a more convenient stopping point. Small things like that always annoyed me about his stream (not counting the worse moments). The difference is a pc can do so much more, and be so much more powerful than a console. The people who truly believe that their console provides a superior gaming experience didn't arrive at that conclusion using objective facts and reasoning. They arrived at that conclusion based on marketing hype, anecdotal evidence and flawed opinions. 5 dollars isn't superior to 500 dollars. The only way someone could be convinced otherwise is if they've been brainwashed to think 500 dollars don't exist.

I think another difference is Asmon seems happy and comfortable being an angry asshole. IMO Pyro genuinely doesn't want to be who he is right now. This isn't an act, this isn't played up for the camera and I think he doesn't want to be who he is when he rages. He pulls back in the seconds after the rage, and clearly becomes uncomfortable with his emotions. Trolls pick up on that, see it as weakness, which in some ways I suppose it is, and press harder, Everyone else sees Pyro feeding the trolls and nopes out. In today's stream, I think Pyro did a good job explaining his struggles with mental disorders while at the same time making it clear he is not using that as an excuse. Yeah, I've seen people saying "Pyro always says he is going to try harder but we always end up back here." and yeah he does but that is because this shit isn't a 1-and-done solve. It piggybacks off the NVIDIA Shield service to directly stream the audio and video output of the game to any smart device (whether it be running iOS or Android), is completely free and open source, allows you to stream at up to 120 FPS, and it'll automatically detect any Steam games (as well as games from a few other launchers) and allow smart devices to launch them remotely.

While the ToS hasn't changed, their policy definitely has. I understand being strict before a new piece of content has been cleared, but now the use of mods isn't affecting fair competition (for an unofficial race) or anyone else. They either need to detect and ban everyone using third-party tools by adding an anti-cheat, or continue the way it was. Targeting streamers is not okay. If they want a legit WF race with an even playing field, they need to hold an official one themselves

In the past I had such a severe anger disorder that I wouldn't be able to calm down unless I destroyed something or was sedated by medication. I started following the advice of my therapist, looking into meditation and mindfulness and practicing them while reading about stoicism on my own terms. I started exercising and boxing, channeling my anger much more healthily by knockin' around the ol' heavy bag, and before I knew it I had developed nerves of steel. I'm still practicing everything mentioned previously to this very day, and every day is better than the last. I now am a MUCH less angry person and I'd say I'm slightly less anger-prone than your average individual. However, I still have particular behaviors and facets of my life that need working on. I will most likely continue doing this for the rest of my life simply because I've learned to love doing it. I hope someone, even a single person who's struggling with anger finds this helpful. Take care everyone. 😌🙏💙

I have a built pc and honestly it's just easier to play on ps5 for FF. No controller connection issues, no game crashes, no compatibility problems. Not saying one or the other is better but I've been playing this game for a long ass time and right now there's no difference between playing on pc and playing on ps5 side from plugins and gpose tools that I don't use. And anybody who complains about button bloat on controller is a moron who needs to learn how to read their settings. Out of everything Pyro said in his meltdown him sitting on consoles was the one thing that actually annoyed me. The rest of his shit takes were hilarious.

xeno is talking about the console itself though, not console players. and he's right. developing around a console is limiting because you have to make sure it runs perfectly well on it. developing for pc on the other hand, bare minimum is you just hand the players options they can optimize themselves.
