Reasoning Gate Misplays EVERY TURN vs #1 Goat Format Player

Ойындар

Reasoning Gate is one of the hardest decks to play in Goat Format, and this duel review shows why. This less experienced player has difficulty gaining any ground vs #1 on the Goat Format ladder. Symen112263 (Reasoning Gate) vs MonsterSlayer (Chaos Control).

Great duel review as usual! I agree with Slashtap and others re: leaving in heavy storm against RGT depending on the build to force out goats to be cleared by asura or tribe, or as a hedge against Decree. Also, i recently top 8'd a FLC with Relinquished (decklist should be up in next few days) after going 8-0 in the swiss and would be honored to have the list featured on the channel!

Sometime i keep heavy for: - decree - swords - random multiple set for no reason (except zaloog/dustshoot of course) rgt tend to set their spells sometime

@Goat Duels do u recommend siding kycoo against chaos control aka decks that play TER and Sorc?

goat duel i made a pretty cool zombie deck with asura tsukuyomi and swap, taking advantage of piramid turtle as well, may i submit it to you somehow to see your opinion on it?

As someone who plays RGT a lot, this was somewhat informative, but also painful to watch lol No disrespect to either player though. The deck really is super hard to play correctly.

I think this is one of the reasons pun intended that goat format is so respected. A scrub like me playing this deck will try to use reasoning and monster gate too early whereas a better pilot will set scapegoat and pass, waiting for a better spot to utilize those cards better

I’ve been running the creator in rgt lately. Sure, ppl call 8 and it ends up on gy, but you can +1 off the effect and it can fuel the gy for chaos. Cards low key busted AND looks nice as ulti rare 😎 give it a shot guys!

symen playing around his Stein range without playing Stein feels so stupid. I can even somewhat agree to use Reasoning turn 1 if the ceiling is Stein into summon Dragoon turn 1. Feels like he's played a lot of Stein Gate or even just played against a lot of Stein Gate.

not sure that I'm setting both you, but you would also probably want to book of moon a noc + don zaloog on that turn 1

If you're constantly wasting your resources on turn 1, you're not going to win very many games. Watch the replays of the Reasoning Gate players that are winning tournaments, and you'll see that they do not play the deck that way. The number of cards in your deck on t1 is irrelevant if you can't OTK your opponent later.

Every time I bring up that Ignis is a better simulator than DB, someone mentions that DB players are better...and then this guy is number 1 with a 59% win rate, constant misplays, and poor card choices. In my eyes #1 on DB is no different than #1000, total casuals who are scared to even enter GFCs.

You make some valid points, but I wouldn't make too many rash assumptions about why someone doesn't enter a particular tournament. For a lot of people, myself included, there just aren't any online tournaments that are convenient for their time zone.

@@GoatDuels Btw I leave in Heavy vs Gate. Both because unchainables often get sided in and because it pairs with Asura and Tribe.

Win rate isn't always super indicative of a player's level to be fair. Can't exactly fault someone for dicking around with gimmicks and reducing their win rate as a result. Granted, you can still make criticisms of this guy's gameplay and being number 1 sure as hell doesn't make you incredible. Just to say that your metric isn't a great reason to dismiss someone. I think my win rate is around 60%. but with competitive decks, it's often 80%

@@UnhappyPensFan Also you're full of shit about the 80% claim. To achieve that at equilibrium would mean you're the best Goat player in the world by a substantial margin.
