I have a Xiaomi 12 Pro since last year - it charges at 120W from 0-100% in 18 minutes (temperature threshold set to high). Many people think this feature is useless - but honestly its actually insanely useful if you are not at home a lot. Whenever you feel like "yeah, I could charge my phone right now for a minute" you can just do that and significantly juice up your battery. This is very useful if you are not gonna be home soon or you dont know when exactly you are gonna be home or you didnt have the opportunity to charge the phone for a longer period of time recently - since you dont need a lot of time at any point of time. And it doesnt really hurt the batterly in an amount that could be worth mentioning either. And since there is not much room to improve our batterys much further, there is to improve their ability to recharge. So it makes sense to min/max that like chinese brands are doing it right now.

my oneplus charges at 65 watts and its so useful i can have a 10% battery go shower in a rush to leave and get out a few minutes later at 50-60% so i cant imagine 120-240watts. only reason im considering this phone. the fact you can juice up for hours in just a couple minutes is amazin

iPhone charges slow but the battery health isn't the best either. My mom and uncle iPhone 12pm both have issue with battery life. My cheap OnePlus 6t which I bought over 4 years ago still doing well, and I charge fast all the time. These chinese companies know about battery, so I trust them

Do both the phone and the charger support PD 3.0? The old Realme 7pro I use charge at 67w but don't support PD so I have a hard time once because I forgot to bring my charger on a trip as I couldn't get the same speed when I borrowed my friend's charger. It would be nice if this phone supports PD, also the charger too so I don't need to bring the charger of my laptop haha

I have the original GT and I'm still shocked how fast it charges , I very rarely have it plugged in more than 10 minutes

okay i think we can agree 240w is enough to charge both your laptop and your phone combined at full 100w speed each. in that case make that charger with 2 usb C ports.. but lets stop there, i think battery capacity technology needs to be improved as well. you dont want to charge 3 times a day cause it has bad battery life despite having 10 minute charge speed

I mean to be fair, you need a commercial charging outlet to charge the phone as they market. You’ll need an electrician to come and put one of these plugs in, which would cost several 100s of dollars

isn't it like dangerous? i am inlove with this feature but i can't really get the most out of it since some of our sockets can even produce 30 effing watts

I bet there's actually a 5000mAh battery or LARGER in there. Due to a building of resistance in the flow of electrons as a battery reaches full charge, the rate of charge REALLY slows downs past 90%. And that last 5% probably takes as much time as the first 0-50%. The way Realme is getting around this battery chemistry physics problem is just stating this phone's battery capacity is "4600mHa" when it's probably 5000mHa or GREATER. So when you're charging that "last" 10%", well you're NOT ACTUALLY CHARGING that last 10% of the total real capacity. You're only charging up to some fraction of the actual battery's charge potential, thereby bypassing the full-charge-slowdown.

I got the GT2 ME and my partner with an iPhone 13 pro said my phone is better than her's. I kind of agree. It's faster for some reason, way faster to unlock, way more accessible to pause netflix, can torrent, better battery life.

I think I read somewhere that after 1600 full charge cycles the battery will only lose 20%. Assuming it goes one day pretty charge that means it can go on for 4 and a half years before reaching 80% battery health.
