Another fact about Dara Shikoh and his brother Aurangzeb, Aurangzeb had imprisoned his father and claimed the throne for himself. There was a battle in which Dara lost, he was captured. Aurangzeb ordered Dara to be beheaded, he then thoroughly inspected it and mutilated it. He then sent that head as a gift to their imprisoned father.

Due to 800 years of Mughal & 200 years rules of British....our ancient knowledge and religion started diminishing as they were forcefully imposing their culture and system on hindu people. When India got freedom in 1947, Congress were elected to form government and this party was a puppet of British Government and there was also greater influence and glorification of Mughal dynasty in our text books until Narendra Modi( Current Prime minister) came to power in 2014 as most of the Congress leaders were Muslims in the disguise of Hindu Name and also getting good funds from Muslim countries to spread Islam in India When Modiji came to power, he stopped everything........he did numerous things which I could not able to describe all in this comment.

Persians used the term Hindu, which is more of a geographical term but Hinduism is a 17th-18th century term and was used to refer to a cluster of people who were practising subcontinental native faiths. That is why in our constitution Jains, Buddhists, Sikhs, and Hindus(Hinduism-believing) all are called HINDU.

Mughals were invaders, not local Indian Rajahs. They came to seek wealth through raiding Hindu Temples and taxing the Hindu peasants as well as all 'dhimmis' who visited Hindu pilgrimage centres. They used force in some places to convert Hindus to Islam but Bharath was too big for them to use that technique for the whole of India. The Congress Party tried to do that job what the Mughals could not. Congress govts colluded with NGOs representing Western Missionaries and Islamic 'Research' foundations using Rials and Dirhams, all for turning India into Dar-ul-Islam.

Since 1947 to 2014 ... Indian Congress Party was involved in Muslim appeasement and thus promoted Mughal studies .... Indian demographics is appx 75% Hindus and 25% Muslims and others .... Congress kept Hindus divided and garnered entire 25% minority vote bank to stay in Power...... Since 2014 with Mr Modi as PM ... this changed .... he united Hindus and focussed on 75% vote bank ...his welfare policies benefitted Minorities as well and he garnered a percentage of that vote bank too ..... Luckily I was born in Maharashtra and didnt had to study in missionary school so we were taught lot of Maratha history along with facts of Mughals. If India had complete population exchange with Pakistan and zero Muslims, we would be ahead of America and west. British did create a buffer zone called Pakistan to keep us fighting with Islamic terror all the time and never focus on development. After 2014, we see a transformational change in both terror control and economic growth but as Muslim population grows, their atrocities are on rise again like they did before partition in 1947.

Mughal invasions persecutions forced conversions barbarisms loot were not taught in our textbooks, rather they were whitewashed sugarcoated to the core. Imagine portraying Hitler as a peace keeper (its that bad) We study them just for the sake of academics. Real history of Mughals is known to us Indians by studying independent historians books.
