One correction- 2.5 lakh student came to US was just for the year 2022-23. If you consider 36 incidents since 2018 for US then this number is way too less for total of ~2.5 lakh each year since 2018. But obviously as you said any incident is unfortunate and shouldn’t have happened at all.

Canada has reported 91 deaths of Indian students since 2018 followed by the United Kingdom (48), Russia (40), the United States (36), Australia (35), Ukraine (21), Germany (20), Cyprus (14), Italy and the Philippines (10 each) If you compare the total number of Indians in each country, US is the safest.

Information is not the true reflection of incidents, you need the numbers about the reason of demise.

Being an international student myself, honestly I never cared about part time coz in the long run it would have not helped me any way. Better to devote more time on studies and find a good job instead of working illegally, was fortunate enough though to find a TA job in my dept itself which helped me take care of my pocket money

By the way he is specialising in Robotics Engineering.

But can you seriously say that it is still safe even though the statistics are less. Can you really guarantee that it is safe to go out during the night in US. The gun law, homelessness, drugs problem they are pretty serious in US. It is still definitely not very safe.

Indian government should issue advisory to travel to So Called USA

It’s not like USA is unsafe but it’s about the gun culture that threatens because we saw the innocent ppl shot in that gun shootings .

Please don't trust the opinions and conclusions of NRIs on safety standards of US. Rely on the information you get from the local population in US whose ancestors were in US for generations. Check out their videos to get a much better picture of US.
