He's made more than vertical slabs! If you're careful you could make curved slabs, diagonal slabs, perfectly centered slabs, or stairs out of pretty much any block

get wood tools, kill endermans instead of mining gold for pearls. Go to nether murder blazes. Then kill sheeps and make beds or find a village. Kill creepers, get sand locate the stronghold use the tnt to dig down quicker then get stone tools, navigate through the stronghold, go to the end, kill the ender dragon.

They should make something like a chisel tool that lets you do this. Mostly cosmetic, though it should affect the physics as well, e.g. you won't float if you stand on it after chiseling away the top layer. This would let you turn any block into a slab or stair, at any orientation. If they did this, though, then there should be a way to copy the chiseling you've already done on one block and then "paste" that chiseling to other blocks with one click.

this could be used as cool decorations in caves and stuff

Mik3l_Play5 who needs a mod to break bedrock. Ther are glitches that let you break the nether celling and floor. And it’s possible to get the bedrock block in survival. If you don’t trust me watch ray works

Wow! With those shaders, graphics and that cave update, you could probably make some of the best landscapes!

I like the idea of mining, more than 3 years later, being more visual like this. Not quite so realistic, but as you mine ores it showes you what you'll get out of it.

This actually has some potential if it can be refined to work more conventionally. - Use the normal mining animation, but given a charge bar like weapons. Charged hits break off more pieces, jump strikes cleave off even more - Different tier tools taking out a varying number of chunks - Chunks able to be shoveled into a mine cart, and then shoveled into a smelter All I'm saying is you may be on to something here that would fit well in a realism overhaul mod, kinda like Terrafirmacraft

i finally mined a block oh no a mob

I can see this concept pleasing sculptors. it might give them the ability to add more details to minecraft sculptures or model, only thing left to do is to add speed control and more accuracy
