Realistic Armored Combat in VR - Blade and Sorcery
Ойындар
I tried being as realistic as possible but liberties have been taken due to limitations of the game and some theatricality.
Sped up slow motion was used.
During my research for this video I ran across the channel @dequitem. I highly recommend you check them out for their incredibly realistic fights and informative tutorials if you are interested in this stuff.

Thanks for call me under your video. Your VR fights are very cool. Your accuracy in stabbing the gabs is very nice. I like most techniques very much. Only the strikes with the mace to the torso and weapons are a little bit ineffective, but strikes to the head and waist are very effective. All in all very cool stuff. I like it! I can make a reaction to your video. But I need some time for it. My son born this week and I am realy busy! 😅

1:53 I could hear Clarkson yelling “OHH IN THE PLUMS” from here, that was a certified violation you did to that man
- using a rondel dagger - at 0:45 halfswording to try and hit the gap in the armor and - grabbing the sword by the blade to use like a mace to my knowledge are all accurate techniques when it comes to fighting in plate armor, so props to you for including that in your video! It was really cool to see.

Very much so, yes. Though, modern Warfare, changing everyday, as it were, is just as horrific. Humans don't change in some things. Its always been "What if I could stab that guy...but over there"
@connorwalton2674

@@Callsign_Bear like the fallout games say "war. War never changes". By my knowledge of modern combat, and medieval combat, the only thing that has changed throughout history is the methods, tools, and tactics of war, the reasonings and the overall outcome stay the same.
Good reference for DMs that want to describe "misses" against characters with high AC. A lot of those hits probably connect, but just bounce off the armor or are deflected off. Sure to make the fighters and paladins glad they shelled out hundreds of gold pieces for heavy armor when they shrug off hits that would've killed them before!

Slo-Mo is perfect honestly. If you go lower, and make sure you aren't messing with physics enough, you can speed it back up in post and make it realistic af
Even took a few nasty hits from blunt weapons and staggered in appropriate fashion to really sell the effect that this was a real fight. And of course, the oh so satisfying ducking and weaving and treating the plate armor as actual armor, effortlessly taking slashing hits no problem and exploiting the smallest of gaps in the armor with piercing attacks. The cherry on top? The little hand waggle for the ineffectual punch that'd serve only to hurt one's hand even in armor~

Incredible! You are the best VR combat video creater by far. The movement really shows a sence of power and precision despite the clunky of B&S itself. By the way, war pick is a bit OP for video recording if you know what I mean.

I feel like I am watching an artist at work. Those precise stabs or cuts of a blade alongside efficient and brutal usage of blunt weaponry. Truly pleasant to the eye. Edit: I laughed hard at you casually trying to fit a dagger into poor lad's visor in 2:25

one of the issues i have with vr games is i never feel like my character is there theres always something missing. vr developers are too afraid to throw your character around an it really throws you out of the exp a punch to the head should force my face another direction i should get tackled to the ground an stuff like that enemies it feels like their attacking an iron golem when i fight them hence why i love cyberpunk 2077 vr mod feels better then 70% of the dedicated vr games around
@interestingameplay

I share your opinion but I see why they don't do it. It would be VERY disorienting for 95% of people. Spending resources catering to a feature only 5% people will use is unwise, considering the already small teams most VR game devs have.
