    Really intresting explanation and great video! I love to see a real liquid webshooter one day in the meantime with mine I try to get the best of both worlds we have! No I don’t have a pressure canister of glue too much problem and it don’t solidified in mid air which is the effect I want to achieve but The new one I’m working on use a solid cable covered in glue and I can achieve different type of webs with this

    The methods covered in this video just cover liquid to solid transitions, which are a really small part of the big picture! The last two parts will cover the other two important aspects: High Velocity and an Adhesive Cohesive Balance. Given the info in this video, it's up to you to decide what's best! But you can also see my other videos for what I currently think is the best.

And I have a lot of faith in your work and others who out of love of such a beautiful character as Spider-Man our making our childhood dreams come closer to reality each day. I was fucking obsessed with web-shooters back when I didnt even understood the concept of science and mathematics. It somehow got pushed away a bit owing to external factors and the killing of creativity, but channels like yours truly allow me to relive all those magical moments I had in my childhood, and are slowly bringing out that latent curiosity of mine I thought was lost in time. Thank you so much dude!

    Good job so far. Excited to see where this goes (I still have yet to watch the fluid dynamics video but I'm eager to do so as I enjoy fluid dynamics) I am curious though, (if you don't mind me asking) what kind of credentials do you have, academically or otherwise? I'm sorry if that's a bit personal or rude in any way, I just want to be absolutely certain of the reliability and validity of the information presented. (So far the information does look consistent and sound though so I'm not too concerned.) Anyways that aside, there's something I've been curious about. I've noticed a lot of the "web-line" variety of shooters made by people tend to just fire off in a line, but don't solidify within a line/rope structure (I assume for something like that to happen, the material would need to dry rapidly on contact with air). Do you have any thoughts on how this could be done effectively?

  • @theAmazing

    @theAmazing

    2 жыл бұрын

    I have examples of your last idea being done, basically with every web shot there's a probability that it'll create a line, obviously. I currently have a formula, demonstrated first at the end of 2020, that has a high probability of doing this (it usually does) not that that means the line is useful. More about this topic in part 3, coming January 24 at 5PM EST. As for my credentials, I'd wonder the same thing, no worries. Bachelor's complete, pursuing doctorate.

    what if you put 3 nozzles on the web shooter, with your current web fluid in the cartridges. But my idea is you put one in the middle like how it always is, then 2 to the next of it the are slightly diagonal point towards the center stream, there are a lot of issues with it so might not be worth your time but if it combined with the main web then it would be 3 in 1 greatly improving it. Just a thought.

    One thing that could be considered is the fact that the movies have shown us some information about the web shooter and what’s inside. One thing is that it is obviously under pressure because in one of the movies, it exploded on Peter during testing. We also know that whatever is in there is basically able to turn into what is like rope that can stick to things. Nylon rope exists and nylon is a polymer but mot sticky, but what could act like a liquid and also bu sticky would be a substance that is non-nutonian and stay’s liquid under pressure but become “nylon-like” when not under pressure. Instead of focusing on on type of concept, we need to consider the mixture of these concepts.

    This is just a question but would it work if you took two different polymers same as the spider has different spinnerets and fuse the chemical and when they're airborne and they intertwine with each other to have a chemical reaction ultimately resulting in a web line of sorts depending on how small or narrow the spinneret is so like maybe 3D printing a specially-made spinneret that shoots different kind of chemical polymers that come together the form one webline

  • @theAmazing

    @theAmazing

    2 жыл бұрын

    Mid-air mixing is such a cool idea, and I don't know if it's impossible yet, so that is something that Dragline can definitely study! I don't know of any fluids that fuse instantly upon contact, but the process might exist!

  • @xmacadagaming7890

    @xmacadagaming7890

    @@theAmazingmaybe it mixes before it reaches the spinneret give it enough time for it to have a chemical like the picture you thought showed in your one button mixes the chemical and pushing down on both buttons creates webline using the same method as the conveyor belt type web shooter but instead of its spinning it's modified to contain different chemicals for the web shooter is just an idea and I have my own formula for web fluid if you would like to use that
