Not necessarily. Some manufacturers find it easier to manufacturer the product in the country they are selling it with imported essential oils than to manufacturer in their home countries where shipping will cost double or triple than if they manufactured in the country they are planning to sell it in.

On the fake bottle, the letters will peel and or fall off very easily. I was given a bottle as a gift and became a bit weary when the spray came out like a stream and the smell was faint...great vid!

Omg I bought this as a gift for my bf and right when i saw this I looked at the box and it doesn't look the same. Thank god.

One of the big disadvantages of ordering cologne on line is getting stuff that's similar and not the name brand.

@MsKittenkitten From what I was able to gather online, the women's version of Light Blue should be made in Italy. There could be a possiblity that they changed where the fragrance is made in the 10+ years that it has been on the market as in the first batch in Italy, and the newer ones in Germany. I would not be surprised that there would be a fake of the smallest bottle because it's a very popular scent. Your best bet is to take it to a store and compare.

@MsKittenkitten Soon after I posted this video, I ordered a real bottle of the men's fragrance from a reputable site and the men's version is made in the UK. In the future, I highly recommend you avoid ebay as you never know what you're gonna get.

I have a bottle from over a year ago and it has the same cap as your so called FAKE one and I know that mine is real because I bought it at Dillards

I never trusted eBay that sight just looks faulty, Amazon is the place you want to order from if not a actual fragrance sight.

the caps on the cologne are different depending on the size of the bottle.. i bought a real one from Nordstrom and the cap is the same as the fake one you are showing.

I believe that other reasons why a perfume can have shorter life span after you spray it onto your skin can be caused by older batch/stock. Newly made perfume tend to last longer. Older batch/stock will not.

hey man. my bottle of light blue is the same as your fake one but you can see the difference in the juice. the original has a slight light yellow tint when you hold the bottle against light..i know mine is real because i purchased it at Dillards.

I just bought a fake Aqua de Gio. As soon as I smelled it I knew there was something wrong. When comparing the batch number from the box and bottle they were different. Then the seller was asking me to not leave a negative review.

The bottle you bought in 210 is same bottle I bought in 208 when light blue first came out ... I bought mine from Boots department store .. mine is made in the UK genuine. I still have about 10 ml left .. the bottle on the right is made in France smells almost the same and last about the same 10hrs +

I just realized the same with the women's light blue that I got off Tophatter... I sent the seller a message that what they had sold me were fakes and now actually getting ready to go to post office and show them cus it has something to do about fraud and the United states post office to deliver said fake merchandise that they pass off as the real deal

@firstclass305 No it is not a tester. The D&G Light Blue tester comes in a generic white box that says Not For Resale. Mine came sealed in a knock off attempt of the retail box. If it is a tester, why is the bottle shape, cap, and spritzer different? Assuming we go on your premise that it is a tester, there should be no reason why the scent's top notes and base notes to be completely different when I compared the two; even it is was an old bottle. It's fake.

I ordered one on eBay for $43, It arrived today. I compared mine to the one's u showed. Mine looked like the real bottle. Thank u for sharing this video. Next time u have a problem with a purchase on eBay. U can dispute it in the resolution center. If u checkout using PayPal. U have 180 days to file a dispute. U would've gotten ur money back and been allowed to keep the item.

Dude I bought a fake one on purpose that's called blue sky instead of light blue and it smells exactly the same as the real thing and the sente last all day.

I hope you now realize both are real. Check out robes08 newer review of thus cologne. Vintage versions sometimes look n smell diff

the biggest difference i notice is that with fake versions the bottles ALWAYS leak fluid if yoou lay them on there sides in a very warm area like a trunk after a couple of ho0urs the box will be soak and wet of the liquid, dead give away, i too just got taken and in the pass i had tried a armani code which did the same thing, leaked onto the box, seller gave me back my money only if i sent back the perfume, go figure, shipping was on me but so was the principle!!

their are 3 places the bottle could have been processed from. i am not quite sure about the year, so far there are only 3 formulations. France, UK, and Germany. Any other countries listed would have been fake.

I'm a victim too....a friend sold a fake125ml bottle to me. I gave him 60 Ghana Cedis (roughly $33) at first, and i after I found out it was fake I didn't pay the difference.

I see a lot of people on here telling this man that he is wrong. You all talk about the bottle and this and that, but you all don't address the FACT that he said the scent fades within an hoir. That right there should tell you all that something is wrong and that he may just be correct about getting a fake.

i got one from my girl. she bought it at Macy's but it smells awful nothing like my last one. luckily they allowed us to return it. don't think it was fake but the smell was like a Hobo no joke..

I bought both from a department store/fragrance shop they are both real, they both last a long time. I have had two of each bottle no complaints.

Hmmm, there are a lot of comments saying yours is legit. I'm not so sure. Ebay is full of fakes. I've been burned several times, even by sellers with good ratings. I no longer buy fragrances from Ebay. The thing that convinces me is the way the bottle wobbles around, no real bottle should do that.

i bought this perfume too, its not a tester its not an original its a chinese production that runs around the world i bought this in mexico in 50 usd and the scent its not bad but in an hour its gone , i alredy had the dolce gabbana the one and the scent you will smell its the same until hours you can go to the night club and come back and still the same nice scent

This is actually the sneakiest excuse by counterfeiters and "sellers" who have so much FAKE inventory at the back room to offload to the market. There's a term called economies of scale and if you're a counterfeiter, all one needs to do is to dump all the ingredients in a vat (well, there' s a process but you know what I mean) and let Nautica spend on the brand building, while the counterfeiter shaves off and profits from the small margin. Mass produced perfumes rely on volume sales not on markups, even the authentic ones are, as you pointed out, cheap already, but that's not the point. The point for counterfeiters is to make money by hitching a ride on the profiteer model of the authentics by posing fake, CHEAPER made ones as authentics. Let's be honest here, perfumes are a mixture of chemicals, but it's the brand people are paying for. OH BTW HOW ARE YOUR CHANNELS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS DOING? HOW ABOUT UPLOADING YOUR VIDEOS? I WANT INFO ON THE ARMANI SCENTS.

Ebay is very tricky.. i think i’ve gotten 50-50. 50% fake and 50% of the time original. Esp some tom ford perfumes they have v good fake these days v hard to tell.

Bro, you don't have a fake!!! That's the vintages bottle and light blue just doesn't have longevity. I have the new one and the story is the same. Gee wiz, you just made all of that up!!! Sometimes the bottle can be at the end of it's shelf life and you buy it weak. it happens.

Longevity and silage (strength) is no longer an indication of veracity. All manufacturers are cutting corners and putting less essential oils and more alcohol in their fragrances, besides restrictions put on them by the EU, which forced them to do reformulations. Keep voting Liberal People! If you want the one you like, look at the batch code on the bottom of the bottle and find another one with the same batch code. It will help if you remember the year you purchased it too. That can narrow down the search, if you want to go through all that trouble. Sellers will easily tell you what the batch number is on the bottom of the package and you can compare it to your bottle or go to checkfresh.com and put the batch number in there to find one in the same or earlier year than what you have. You are sure to find one that has the original formula then.

This is why you purchase them in a department store, HOWEVER, since they're aware that they sold you a FAKE they should AT LEAST send you a real one or refund you your money. Why is it that they KNOW they sent you a fake and won't give you your money back. I would contact ebay if I were you. That just isn't right

hey brother its real but its a tester. not to say its fake its more then likely old and as you know cologne really loses scent after a while of siting. also the the scent fade is personal. no cologne lasts the same length of time on any two people. hope i helped... but feel fine its a real cologne its just a tester. google it and you'll see what i am talking about

i bought the same brand (D&G Light Blue) from ebay. it was my first time to buy an item from that online shop. but to my dismay, the item was obviously fake. the scent does not even last for an hour.

That's the only place I buy fragrances. They have fresh and legit scents. I don't trust any other stores, except for Nordstrom. They also have good fragrances

I completely agree. I also bought the original back in 2007 or so and actually prefer the smell, even though they are very similar.
