    I would have to disagree with Bill Maher on one of his assertions. He claimed that Monty Python were the Beatles of comedy. I always thought they were more like The Rutles of comedy.

    +Antonius Britannia No that's just stupid ..no offence meant.The Pythons were the Beatles of Comedy..They were groundbreaking and game changers.It could be argued thT the Goons were but I think they were the warmup for what was about to explode in Comedy and in TV in the 60's in England and then the world pretty much. Oh..are you saying the Rutles because Eric Idle was in it.?That was brilliant but a spoof.

    Wow, did you know when Reagan was president she did a show on how her chimps went to war…just when Reagan said war was natural….. it was from overfeeding them to get them to stay where she could observe them, which caused overpopulation…the real cause of wars. But don’t be branded a heretic and say growth is unnecessary! One thing I like about Maher is he unwaveringly is opposed to population growth. Paul Ehrlich.

    +traydevon Bernie Sanders's may win New Hampshire, and possibly even Iowa, because Bernie's base is white, liberal, mostly male voters. He has made no real inroads with black or Hispanic voters as Obama did, and he must do to have a chance of overturning Clinton's lead with moderates and the right of the party. He has to win in places like South Carolina, and Nevada to have a shot at the nomination. The number of sanctioned debates hosted by the DNC is the same as in 2004, and 2008. They are also the same number as Republicans held in 2012. The DNC allows candidates to arrange more debates independently with the media. This isn't anything new let alone a conspiracy. If Bernie Sanders is the nominee of course most Democrats will support him, but let's be honest he would have trouble getting elected in Europe let alone the US. The consequences of losing to Bush or Rubio would also extend to losing the Supreme Court: The oldest Justices are Ginsburg, and Breyer.

    ***** With respect, that's simply a parody of Mrs. Clinton's support. Many people like myself are politically informed, yet simply disagree with Bernie Sanders's on the issues, and believe Democratic Socialism while well intentioned is archaic, and inadequate in addressing the needs of society in the 21st century. Yes, it would be nice to have a woman as President, but not as a token, and not out of some forlorn sense of obligation and guilt over the nomination of President Obama in 2008. People support Mrs. Clinton because they believe in her intellect, and ability to deliver. Many of us were heartbroken when she lost the nomination to President Obama, but we worked hard to get him elected, and we shed tears of joy when he addressed the nation in Chicago on that election night. There are people who feel as passionate about Mrs. Clinton as you do about Bernie Sanders. At some point Bernie Sander's supporters must come to acknowledge the opposition is genuine, informed, and passionate, and stop caricaturing anyone who holds a different view.

  • @creamesoda79

    @creamesoda79

    ***** If Clinton wasn't running I would still not support Sanders because of where he stands on the issues. I really can't be any clearer than that. I supported Clinton in 2008 because amongst other reasons she had a better plan for health care, and which was more honestly presented, and costed. It is not about _'what she could become'_ it is about who she is now, and what she could do with that in office. Too many Sander's supporters suffer from the issues that plagued the 2008 primaries. Runaway idealism, unreal expectations, and a fanatical self righteousness. Unsurprising given most of them are the disillusioned early supporters of President Obama.

    +Ophelia De Beaufort If you find her supposed intellect and deliverability worthy of support, then you must be highly uneducated yourself. Those of us with real IQ's see pass the BS and know she's an oligarchist just as much as the Koch Brothers. Go find her interview from her lawyer days and how she's laughs about getting a grandfather off for raping his toddler granddaughter. I grew up in the Midwest not far from her adult home in AR; it's representative of the ideas that little girls are property and not worthy of protection especially from poor families. I lived it! Even after passing a lie detector, nothing happened to my father. I was put in juvie jail for "my protection", sent for a 30 day eval at a mental hospital in KC due to my parent's lies [as mom said, he brought home the bacon , I didn't], discovered my genius IQ, took the lie detector test two months later, passed with flying colors, then sent to a foster home with Vegans who were Pagans and thought it would be a good idea to invite the foot ball player neighbor's nephew along a river raft trip. I was not only raped again, but got pregnant. I was only 13...Hillary is an elitist C word and will always be. You're cutting your nose off to spite your face and so is Bill.

    It never dawned on me before, but Jane Goodall when she was talking about roots and shoots reminded me of the wise woman on Fern Gully the movie, I wonder if the author made her character in the animated cartoon in Janes image? When my daughter was very young we watched that movie and the lion king all the time. I liked Fern Gully’s message and Tim Curry was a voice over for it. Loved me some Tim Curry too.
