    The fact that britannic could have reached land when sinking is just mind blowing but some crew members launched lifeboats without permission so people got crashed between the propellers so the Captain stopped the ENGINEES

    Britannic could have never beached. What it was doing is just make britannic turn in circles if he continued. Although britannic could have survived the open potholes caused the ship to flood. And it’s not only that the flooding was accelerated because the propellers where bushings the water backwards which caused the ship to flood fast.

  • @Timmyvr_69

    The crew told him about that so he finally stopped the ship cause the crew did it listen to him to not launch them on the port side and to hold since he thought they could make it but the crew did not listen so most died due to propellers or the funnels or explosion fun fact people in the stern of the ship did it notice the big boom so the didn’t worry and counted on that’s why most of the 30 people died

  • @cheezitman8375

    @cheezitman8375

    Yeah, like Catalonia said the ship was just turning in circles considering only one of the propellors was actually in the water and they really couldn’t use the rudder to counter that. The captain was smart to stop the ship, if he continued most likely more people would launch boats without permission resulting in more death. However it would have been cool to think that they could have beached it, however it sadly isn’t the case.

    I personally find the Britannic most interesting. Although she got hit by a mine, the crew clearly knew what to do in the 55 minutes of the sinking. The fact that only 30 people of 1000 died, is shocking. Not only could the control the lifeboats with the massive gantry davits, but they controlled them with ease and helped 970 people. Watching the lifeboats collapse on lusitania makes me think whether or not the crew were capable enough to react and deal with such a situation. Or if they were even prepared. Titanic was a great disaster, I watch it over and over again and realise what a disaster it was. As for every ship. Any ship dipping under the surface should feel wrong. On a cool note - I love how the water effects the lights. I find that generally cool.

    I found Titanic And Lusitania more interesting . Although more died on Titanic and Lusitania , they were better ships than Britannic and Olympic in many ways 1 Titanic was more famous than Britannic and Olympic . 2 Titanic breaks in half which makes me happy. 3 Lusitania was faster than Olympic . So , Britannic and Olympic can't stand a chance against Titanic and Lusitania . Do you know britannic was not only ship in whic less people died , Less people also died on the Hidenburg ( not a ship but an airship) . Love you two ships Titanic and Lusitania..

    The other factors were that on the Lusitania the watertight compartments stopped at the coal bunkers, so the water just went around them, and on the Britannic the portholes were open to ventilate the ship, and one of the watertight doors was jammed open by the force of the blast. Captain Bartlett was trying to steam for shore in the hopes of beaching the ship so that they could repair and refloat it, but it was not to be.

    Arguably more lifeboats wouldn't have saved anyone in the Titanic disaster. The last lifeboat was was launched at about 2:15 am, Titanic begun her final plunge only 5 minutes later. The ship was simply at too high an angle and the lifeboats launched too late for more lifeboats to have possibly been launched than the ones she did carry. If anything more lifeboats would have obstructed space to get to the lifeboats themselves, resulting in more casualties. Now if the danger had been apparent immediately and the lifeboats launched as soon as possible more lifeboats would of course have been better. But in the very special circumstances of that night it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference.

    The major difference between the brittanic and the others. The brittanic was a hospital ship, they were being used in wartime. So they were ready to be attacked at any point. So all the crew knew the emergency procedures like the back of their hand. So when disaster struck they knew exactly what to do to get everyone off

    Britannic's crew was effective on launching its lifeboats and it's impressive how so many people were saved that day. Titanic was not as efficient because the crew Panicked too much despite having plenty of time to fill the boats. Lusitania's lifeboats were not efficient as the other ships, but I can understand that a ship sinking in 18 minutes with a terrifying starboard list would be horrific.

    RMS LUSITANIA did make a promise to her passengers and crew that she would be equipped with 48 lifeboats aboard for everybody. However, RMS LUSITANIA did not make a promise to her passengers and crew that she would stay afloat longer while sinking, another words she only had 20 minutes before she completely disappears into the Irish Sea. Today, both RMS TITANIC and HMHS BRITANNIC still stay close with RMS LUSITANIA as the world’s fastest ship since 1907!

    The Britannic was the newer sister of the Titanic, but I don't think it ever operated as a passenger ship. The Royal Navy immediately took it for use as a hospital. Interesting that the higher bulkheads (a lesson learned from the Titanic) didn't save it. The explosion warped them so that some of the watertight doors couldn't be fully closed. To make it worse, a lot of portholes in the hull were left open because of the warm weather.

    with the titanic, it was lierally pitch black after the power went out. they couldnt see ANYTHING. which yeah, it makes it scarier because you hve no idea whats going on but think about the other two, that happened in broad daylight. at least the passengers in the lifeboats didnt have to watch because you cant see that, especially from afar. but imagine just watching it go down, watching all the people fall and panic. at least the titanic passengers just heard the screams, which is also terrifying.

Can you imagine listening to the desperation and the screams and pleas to go back as they refuse? Of course they were terrified too and in fear for their lives but they did have time to get more people and go back out of the way.
