I’m going to be honest with you, and I don’t mean this in a mean way. I think you have lost sight of why you make these videos, and why you started in the first place. You started this as a fun way to share your adventures of Pablo with your friends and family. When that was your focus, you made the best content. Now you are putting pressure on yourself to put out content, whether it’s good or not. I know part of the pressure is due to financial reasons. I’m going to advise you to stop being in a place where you are reliant on KZread for finances. I know this is much easier said than done, and the crappy part is that I can’t give you specific advice on how to do that. I’m also going to tell you to stop looking at how many subscribers you have or how many views your latest videos have. Still make videos, but do not force them just to meet a schedule you have set for yourself. Enjoy your life with your dogs and partner and maybe one day the boys do something funny and you happened to record it and want to share it. Please do. Maybe it only gets 5 views, but one of those views is someone who misses their pug after he crossed the rainbow bridge, and it brings them comfort. That is meaningful. That’s enough. Take care of yourself, your dogs, your partner, and your family. Everything else will come.

Carl I wish you well. Thank you for the wonderful video. You helped me. A year ago a got dexter my pug mix. I found comfort watching your training efforts. I'm off to advanced puppy training today. You helped me to be patient with training. Seeing the sweet puggy face makes me happy. Your video helped!!!

I came into this channel for the pugs. I had 2 pugs who lived long lives and just watching pugs sleep, snore, eat and be playful clowns, bring back warm memories. You take of you first.

I have been following since you just had Pablo. Right now you need time to figure things out for yourself and your health. We will be here for you.

Karl, I’ll support you no matter what you decide to do. You are a good person, I absolutely adore you, and You & The Boys have made a difference in my life. My sister & I recently rescued & adopted another pug, and your videos on how to balance 2 pugs, just by how you are with them & how much you love them, has alleviated the ‘What were we thinking, bringing another pug into our extremely busy lives????” But like you have showed by example, another pug is not only GOOD for the one pug, but Arlo has brought SO MUCH joy to our lives: we feel blessed to have 2 pugs now.

I’ve been an avid fan of your videos for the past 5 years. 3 years ago I got my Pug Cinnabon thanks to your videos. I love him so much and I’ve incorporated his world with my work and lifestyle. I hope you can clear your mind and get over whatever is happening internally. Remember your Pugs can sense our emotions.

Perhaps you could change to short content. There's a great Pug community on Tiktok. It might be less stressful just posting random clips of the boys. My girl sleeps all day too, she's 12, but people still enjoy random videos. Pugs snoring, or taking them for a walk, giving them a treat or belly rubs, you can repeat content ideas often not a problem, people would surely just enjoy seeing Pablo and Stan on screen. I came here because I use to have a pug and he died. Watching your videos makes me smile and gives me my pug fix. I taught my pug to say I love you, he also loved to dress up in costumes, gave me funny looks. Love when they do the pug runs around the living room and when they tilt their head when you talk to them. Best dogs ever!

It is important to do what you want to do :) one area that I really love about your content is how to take care of your pugs in real life. How to take them to bath. How to brush their fur etc. Me and my wife will someday get a pug or pugs. It is very helpful to understand how to raise and take care of pugs. Not just fun short clips. It is very educational.

Personal happiness is so important. It is of no matter what test results are . On the spectrum or not is of no matter. Life costs money in this material world so we have to get on with it BUT if you DO what you want , when you want , how you want , if you want , because you want , because you can may sound selfish but it is the best way forward. Relationships fail all the time but someone new has come along so enjoy the experience and move on from what was. There is no need to dwell on the past as it was nothing more than a learning curve. New woman and new relationship ENJOY. If it means cutting others out DO SO. No need to explain just move forward. Onwards and upwards. Keep going !

I totally understand what you're saying, Karl. Turning 30 puts a lot of things into perspective, I turned 30 last year and it felt like a milestone where I was really wanting a direction in my life. It's okay for things to be for a season. I know you feel pressure and responsibility to the channel but I think everyone here supports you and wants you to be happy whatever decision you make. If you need a break, take a break, i can see you're an ambitious person and you take the weight of the world on your shoulders. Don’t put pressure on yourself Karl. It’s not good for anyone’s mental health. The dogs are great therapy. I hope the dogs are not being rehomed because of changes.

Karl, please know your fans will support you in whatever decision you make. You need to do what's best for you, the boys, other family members, etc. Just drop a note from time to time ... like a long lost friend or relative. Maybe turn up on our doorstep at Christmastime. Karl, we would not be happy if you disappeared! I'm so sorry for the health issues you've been facing and all the other things. Life can be so very overwhelming. I'm glad you've met someone and that's going well. I think though it's almost impossible to change everything about life at once. When I get too overwhelmed I shut down and I don't have the energy to change anything so maybe break it into a few things at a time. Thank you for how authentic you were in this video though it made me sad to see you looking defeated and trying to find the words to say. Karl, you are NOT behind in life!!! Life isn't linear and it doesn't have just one iteration/manifestation. I am 42 and my life is not standard!!! And that's okay! Life is different for different people!!! I have chronic illnesses and those are always foremost in my life because they are significant and are always there. I used to think the way you do and I was extremely hard on myself. So, on top of these damned illnesses I am also adding pressure on myself. Why??? I had to change my thinking & perspective on my life. Really think about what I am saying; do not be hard on yourself. Follow your own schedule not someone else's!!!👍

Hey Karl, I love your videos, I'd say 95% of your community here are non-judgmental, we just find a tremendous joy and healing through you and your pugs. Keep things simple and just film content regardless of whether it's just the same as before. Sometimes that continuity IS what helps in such a crazy world. Since finding your channel, I've lost my jobs multiple times over, I've been on receiving end of some extremely nasty bosses, on the edge of losing everything, lost my pug, now I have two dear pugs, a mother and her daughter, all your real team here are just taking one day at a time. It's okay to not be okay, we are all there too. Whatever it is that you are doing, you might not know what it is you are doing, just know you're doing it right. XO

Take a break. Upload a vid if you make one you feel should be shared. I'll stay subscribed and on Patreon. You need to take care of yourself rn and not worry about uploading videos on a schedule. Sometimes that's the best thing to do. I was subscribed and supporting a couple of folks who were on canal boats, and one set sold their boat, bought a house, and decided they needed to focus on their lives, so they shut down their channel. Same for another couple. They haven't bought a house, but they've only uploaded like two or three videos since December. And I'm still subscribed to their channel. Other commenters below have told you how they feel. I feel the same way. I could understand why you feel sad about potentially stepping away from the channel for good. It started from such a pure place, and grew with you over the years I feel you on wanting to do bigger things in life, pickup new hobbies, travel more, start new business projects, etc. It’s okay for you to walk away. People appreciated that you shared part of your life raising your pugs. Even the last 3 years were just fine, people still appreciated the mundane moments, that’s what dogs do lol. If you decide to walk away you can always post occasionally Only if you truly feel like it, like on a whim decide to share something with the world. That way you won’t feel so pressured. If it’s the patreon support making you feel bad, then maybe figure a way to make it without having to rely on Patreon money. Congrats with your new gf, I’m happy for you. Thank you for the video. And thank you for your vacation photos on Instagram. You two looked so happy. I hope all is well with both the doggies and you. Also i know that a lot of people are going through difficult times right now, including myself. But most important is that you started your life as a married couple, and you are happy. Just slow down and just do some shorts. That would be fine and when you decide to do a longer video then just do that at that time. Your over thinking it. If you need to stop then stop. You're one of a very small handful of KZreadrs I support on Patreon. One (Coffeehouse Crime) puts out a video once a week, the other (LEMMiNO) puts out maybe two videos a year. They're both fantastic channels (IMO) and, whatever they're doing in their lives, they've made it work for their audiences too. It's quality over quantity. Even Marvel knows to put out just one movie this year. Above all, you need to take care of yourself, your family, your pugs, and your relationship. As much as your audience loves you, I think it's safe to say none of us would enjoy watching you torturing yourself for us. I'm assuming you're not relying on KZread or Patreon for your livelihood, which is great, as it means you don't need to worry about that even if it goes away. But it will be worth losing that in exchange for peace of mind and happiness.

I've been watching your videos for a long time and especially love the older content. However, I often get the feeling that you put too much pressure on yourself and force yourself to produce new content. As a result, you often no longer seem "real". I know that KZread is a good source of money for you, but you shouldn't bend yourself for anyone. Enjoy your life, be mentally fit and spend time with people who are important to you and with whom you are happy. Make videos when you feel ready and don't put yourself under pressure. We're always looking forward to new content, but you and the boys have to be happy too.
