I almost feel like there is meaning behind the video.. like the projector showing the past adventures, and wearing her medieval get up represented her looking into the past and dwelling on it or her looking into a fantasy world. but when the lyrics say “real people do” it shows herself now, aka REAL Momo, and what I’d assume no makeup. And that represents her in reality looking on this fantasy world wishing she was in it. And when the projector goes white it shows Momo snapping back into reality, realizing that she needs to take action for what she needs to do. P.S. that projector had to be blinding her oh my gosh.. and these are just my thoughts, I could be reading into it too much but whatever!!! Edit: Oml thank you for 240 likes!! no i see the same thing! .... but slightly different, for some reason i take it as all of her expectations are being projected on to her, and "real people do" signifies who she is when the camera isn't around, the real momo (which all of us love and adore anyway)

I did want to leave it up to interpretation (and I love yours) but I will say it was inspired by people thinking that I have an online "persona". That as soon as I put on pastels and a wig, it suddenly was a completely different person. My art and how I present myself is me, just set on fire. It hurt to hear people, sometimes my friends, say "Mo Mo" and "Morgan" as if they were two different people. Whether i'm in front of a camera and performing, or wearing sweatpants and depressed, its all still me. The concept of "Real People" stuck with me that way.

meaning theory: all of the happy & perfectly edited videos of MoMo’s adventures are projected onto her human image... which is flickering back and forth from MoMo as herself and MoMo in character. Yet her visage remains the same.... kind of stoic, cold, and broken down. I kind of interpret the video projection as symbolizing the burden of having your life broadcasted online/social media in general. Like, the videos/images you create and curate for your online platforms are a distorted (if not better) reality. This grows to become a weight and often a burden. (As we see with the contrasting MoMos). The two MoMos, to me, represent the process of navigating your on and offline selves (the real you and the idealized you). And the video finishes with the in-character MoMo/idealized online self tiredly walking up to and adjusting the camera. Which I see as hopping back on that social media work grind. Because it’s the just the way the world is now, and we’re all obligated to keep up with it. 😲 I’m also 100% projecting my own shit into this so idk...! 😂 what do y’all think!! 😁 I loved this video. It really made me think. 🤍

I feel like the video represents how social media and movies and music glamorize an "ideal" experience of life that's happy and beautiful and fun and perfect. Momo's own videos showcase these amazing perfect adventures that are so fun to watch, but larping itself is a staged or fabricated experience. There's a disconnect. And I don't know if this song is specifically meant to be Momo exploring her own relationship between what it's like to be a content creator and produce a specific brand and image and how exhausting that can be to maintain for an audience, or an exploration from someone with a mental health perspective of how dangerous it can be to compare your own day-to-day life to these super glamorized and fabricated experiences. When you do that your own life can feel broken, unexciting; it can feel like you are living wrong. But that's not the case. Real life isn't all grand exciting adventures, and that's sad, but we can create small magic in our own everyday life. We all need to work on just loving ourselves as we are, and not comparing ourselves all the time to idealized, fabricated, and ultimately unattainable images. While Momo's larps are incredible and her characters are fleshed out amazing creations to watch, Momo herself, bare-faced, no-wig, being so vulnerable is the real wonder. Because she created all of these things!! All of these genuine and real-feeling things! She is an incredible artist and so much more than the characters she portrays, both on tik tok and on youtube. So thank you Momo
