My family raised Ostriches when I was growing up. We were one of 2 hatcheries and it was an amazing way to grow up. I love to see this type of video because I can tell a true skin from fake. They are beautiful animals and when we would lose one we would be able to use most of the bird. Their meat is very good and low in fat. The hides we kept. I miss those days.

How’s the weight? I have bought an ostrich bag from a thrift shop for cheap. Didnt even know that texture until I got home and sis told me. Mine has one of the pores damaged and shows like a pimple and its the strongest tote I ever own for keeping my heavy travel stuff covered. The thing tho is its lightweight. Leather’s good to. No visible damage after my solo backpack travel.

I fell in love with a piece of embossed ostrich that I couldn't buy at the time but have been obsessed wirh finding a piece like that ever since. It was charcoal grey with blackened bumps, you could see it on the back because it was very deep. Some of the bumps were kind of spikey and the print was very uneven like the real piece in the video. The matte texture felt almost velvety and it seemed like it had almost no finish if any. It looked positively evil, and I've never seen another piece like it.
