I wanted to consolidate the various whistle sound effects I've gathered over the years to make accessing them easier, but thought I'd try to make it more visually interesting and show them all in one place! I highly recommend you pay the Talyllyn a visit yourself though, its a wonderful little line!

    whistle jumpscares. it happens to me too. i expect it to happen, but i always jump. why is that? (ngl. its pretty funny seeing the camera jump at a whistle blow)

    Am so happy that the narrow gauge engines are still running and look amazing but rheneas whistle sounds more like Duncan’s and sir handles is like is railway whistle in the show

    Merseysider belongs to a private collector now - in good hands, looked after. Midlander has an old crank horn as well, but the whistle is easier to use haha.

    2:50 I'm glad you got a clean recording of Edward Thomas' 2nd whsitle! 3:47 so there is a crossing on the Tallylyn Railway that has alarms! 4:30 so Tom Rolt has a 2nd whsitle too! Sir Haydn, Douglas, and Alf's whsitles are my favorite ones! Did you ever see diesels number 8 and 10 run before they were sold?

    Yep, that's Forestry crossing in between Abergnolwyn and Nant Gwernol. I might have seen No.8 and 10 on my first visit in 2015 but I can't specifically remember. Could have been 11 or 12 I saw when they were in yellow.

    Just a two-tone thing. Typically, and most commonly on the GWR, engines had both a warning whistle and a braking whistle.

    More like Sir Haydn and Edward Thomas - both were owned by the GWR, and Edward Thomas's whistles are that of a Castle Class if I'm thinking correctly, could be a Hall though. Tom Rolt doesn't have any GWR whistles - It has a Stanier Hooter and another.

    Its got a Britannia chime whistle, which was based on the A4's. Sir Haydn actually does have an A4 whistle.
