Real life Phantom Manor and Mark Twain's Toilet!
Back in Virginia City, Nevada! Ground Zero of the Comstock Lode, the real old west! This town provided not only a ton of inspiration for Disneyland Paris' Frontierland (including the real life inspiration for the Phantom Manor!) but also birthed - among many other western legends - the career of one famous newspaperman, Mark Twain! And we have his toilet.....
Cold and Windy and I think you can tell that I'm starting to get sick, but still an adventure every time! I'm planning on returning to Virginia City in the future to stay at some more haunted hotels, but wanted to make this off season visit before heading home from the epic pumpkin farm yesterday.

the fact that you are straight out walking on the same floor Mark Twain walked on=MIND BLOWN!!!!
I love how Allie was so quick to say "Kiss it!" when you were touching Mark Twain's toilet. Too Funny!
Anyone ever mention how much Ali(sp) looks like Miranda Cosgrove ? It trips me out ! Love the videos!
Fantastic video as usual. Plus it warmed my fanboy heart hearing Justin say 'TARDIS'.
I'm glad you're still doing the squeak/scream at every gunfire gag. It makes me laugh :)
i love how passionate you are about history and old, strange things. if i wasn't so far in the northwest and had more time on my hands, I would just love to travel around and explore the unexplored places in the states.
My Girlfriend brought me to Virginia City and I loved it. I didn't know it help inspire FrontierLand, that explains the nostalgia.
"I'm Mark Twain! I'm pooping!" I laughed right out loud. 😂 Yay history!! Also Ally is just so sweet!
Loving the 30 minute videos man, it's so great to chill to a awesome vlog for half a hour. Also almost every other day when I'm getting off work I think of those exact words you say just the way you say it, "It's time to go home and schweep well!", it feel's great. haha
@ 23:15 OMG! That has to be one of my favorites as well! Especially the chapters on the Mormons. A very in depth view of the church, LOL!
I must say that I am a fan of your variegated vagabondizing on video. Mark Twain would be proud.
You can definitely see the inspiration for Disneyland Main Street in the old western towns like this.
I'm 5'1 and definitely rolled my eyes at every single one of your short jokes. 😝
Tales from the Comstock Lode to the Commode Load. Funny and informative, Samuel L. would be proud!
If you're ever in Arizona again, Justin, I think you'd enjoy visiting the old mining town of Jerome.
That was fun, I love rusty old stuff, basements, history and things all dirty and covered with dust ha ha... and the smell of sagebrush too =) Loved the vlog, thanks guys =) Glad you two made it home safe n sound =)
you guys id the doctor jokes perfectly! and now i understand a little more about why you and ally get allong. we get a hint of a sneak peak at parts of her personality she has been keeping hidden.... you guys are so cute!
I'm always impressed how you are very factual in your vlogs and how much you memorize. I'm always reading off from my notes. I need to work on that.
you never cease to entertain and boy did I learn a lot
I've been there. My family visited there 55 years ago, but I was too young to later remember much about it. I have a fuzzy 8 mm movie of the cemetery and the Old Washoe Club. Back in the 1970's, Mountain Dew was available on Tom Sawyer Island. It seems the beverage is also in search of Mark Twain.
Jeez, I'm at Disneyland today and you're where I live.....fml

Love all the Doctor Who stuff.
Justin had a great time today very educational tour of Virginia City thank you and keep them vlogs coming.
I'm everyone one of Justin's videos I learn something new....That's amazing!
"It's the perfect place for fun pics" ha ha love that. Reminds me of the Ghost Adventures show outside the Silver Queen when Zak kept saying "the pistol packin' preacher". Maybe VC is haunted by a spirit of redundant verbage :D
Virginia City is probably my favorite place in the U.S. I always try to make it up there when i go fishing in the Sierras.
Dude you are just so entertaining. You could narrate paint drying and I'd be entertained. I'm determined to find you at Disneyland one day!
A few years ago My Dad and I went hung out in the beautiful garden at the Capitol building then went too Virginia City during (or near after) a burning man So the town was filled with "steam punkers" My Dad thought they were actors for the city I had to explain that they like to dress up and what they were trying to do and so my Dad says "Oh are they like a Gang?" Yes Dad like a Gang !! I wish I knew that Tardis was there ! Great vlog thanks for refreshing a good time with my Dad
Thanks for a fun tour Justin of Virginia City I've never been through there before, now I want to go and look and discover all the treasures. That's cute you had little alley-oop over there in one of the desks in one of those rooms in the school lol
You made a time machine...out of a Police Box?
Justin - I will never go there. Thanks for taking me with you.
I can see you working for the Travel Channel or Discovery Network , you are good at covering historic places and things !
Always think of ghost adventures in Virginia City :) Another fantastic vid, kind Sir!

The random Tardis was Awesome!
you need to go to the Keweenaw peninsula in Michigan. huge mining towns for copper. very similar to the ones out west.
I love Virginia City. My cousin got married in Piper's earlier this year so I got to spend a few days hanging around the town. Next time you're in AZ you should check out Jerome. It's pretty much the AZ version of Virginia City.
Yo Justin I love your work but nothing I legit just love your works
Oh Justin... the look Ally gave you when you saw the sign at 11:39...
you need to come to Tombstone and Bisbee Arizona they are Virginia city twin lots of mining history and in Bisbee you can take a mine tour in old mine cars lots of haunting places and great history
I am about a half hour from Mark Twains house in Connecticut and that house is like a maze.
"wash your hands" 😂😂
You need to come to Tombstone Az you would love it and it is not to far away from you. Alley would love the ghost hunts.

Have you ever been to Bodie State Park? It's a pretty awesome old mine ghost town in Mono County California near Mono Lake and Lee Vining.
The caged area is for typing class. Keeps noise down
Poor Ally looks like she is FREEZING!
When I first read "Roughing It" I was excited to see I share my last name with a character ...until I read on and learned about Sam's stagecoach companion ..Mr.Bemis ..womp womp wahh..!!
"Doctor Who?" Ha!😂
i WENT THERE! i went to that shop where they have like a bunch of the random stuff and the stuffed animals and i bought a fox tail from the guys barrel ;3;

Hi Justin! I've been watching your videos for the last few months and let me just say - like many others have said - I find them very entertaining and informative and watching them is helping me get through a tough time. Think I need a vacation in Socal that's for sure! Anyway, I wonder if you've ever been to the Mark Twain house in Hartford CT. I grew up in CT but never visited (although my sister and parents have been there). I heard it's awesome but yeah. .it's on the other side of the country, and what else would you film during your time in CT to make the trip worth the time and money? (And maybe they don't permit filming there...not sure.) Anyway, thanks for your videos and maybe someday, we'll get to see a vid from that spot, with you doing that Thing you do! Keep on...uh...carrying on! Thanks dude!
Great video, how is you are not working for some major network, you & Ally, "spellcheck" are a adorable....
"Kiss it." Ha! 😁😂
Was there any context for the Tardis? Looks like it was just standing in the middle of nowhere?

I have no idea, but when Clara, I mean Ally asked Justin "Doctor Who?" I thought it was hilarious...
@15:17 I had thought that you got your stripes from the Beagle Boys, who are wearing them because they are convicts... But DISNEY!!
So the museum was where the newspaper building was, and the hotel too? I'm confused
When they say that is an up town down town they really mean it, so that building that had a door with no step on it, but a different floor, would you call it an up town down town building? Chirp
What camera do you film on... love ur vidz

What camera do you use?
First commenter? Fantastic! Keep up the great work Justin.
There really needs to be a Doctor Who episode where the Doctor meets Mark Twain. Star Trek TNG did it. owo
Omg the Tardis!!! Wait, Justin are you a whovain??
Ally playing the part of miss mcgillicutty from little rascals. I think
Did you have to master the vlogging camera stiff arm?
That going deep joke haha....

great video, i was 'justin' time to watch the video before i went to bed, i have a note on the fridge and it's in comic 'sands' xD... i asked them to change it and they 'ally'owed me, but only if i didn't play 'rock' music again, also i hope you don't 'phantom manor' me aski... wait that doesn't work.. never'mine'd ..
